listening to him teach me The Word and God is the ultimate jug. In fact Jesus even states in the Gospels "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone". So it all boils down to the fact that their relationship with God is between Himself and them. Other people may freak out on you or whatever, but i understand how you feel because sometimes it is hard to see Jesus in people who lead worship professionally. But some people are just bad under pressure when it comes to answering those kinds
@firefly7931: look up the words to-signiture of divine, nothing left to lose, moving on, and washed by the water. all of the music isn't directed at God, though some of it is, but they are talking to the people about how you don't have to stay living in sin and in a sinful lifestyle. That Go forgives all sin and that you CAN "Move on" and that there IS nothing left to lose because all that a person needs in their life is Christ . i am 18 years old, but my dad is a minister and i grew up
I stinkin' love Bear. He's such a cool guy to talk to. They are all great, but I could talk to him for hours. It helps that he's amazingly attractive, too. Hah. :)
Ok check it out... I have been seeing the comments on here about them only talking about themselves and that makes them not a great ministry or whatever. Here's the thing, this girl is asking questions about them! She wants to know how they started and where their sound came from. Their music is inspired by their faith, but the is asking questions about the human side and not about their spiritual influence. Quit trying to accuse and condemn, it's silly.
aren't u just looking 4 a fight? im not so small that i'll take the bait. i said my opinion and ur defacing me. u told me that i wasn't born again as if u knew me. take a look at urself for a moment before u look at me. u doing 2 me exactly what u dont want me to do to them
No, I'm not looking for a fight, I was giving you an example of what you are doing, doesn't feel good does it anyways I'm done wasting my time with you, it's no wonder people have such a bad opinion for christians the way they try to tear each other down.
i agree. great album, i've listened to it over and over. i'm a kings of leon fan also, and i think needtobreathe should tour with them. you know, their style is kinda in the same vein? i can't wait for these guys' new record either!
just saw these guys in cleveland and love their music. they are definitely sincere. Don't read too much into an interview done inside of a cramped RV.
Why? just because every song isnt "praise and worship" doesnt mean they arent christian, or born again. these guys are exactly what music needs. theyre real. they love music, and they love God. I dont see why there should be such a distinction between Christian and Secular music. I love their music and think they are on the brink of creating a much needed bridge between "secular" and "Christian" artists.

i never had a problem with them until i heard this interview. i loved the sound and the words of their music but when i heard this interview i was shocked. like seriously if u hadn't heard some of their songs b4 u wouldnt even know that they play christian music. u'd think they were just another rock band. they don't mention God once. thats y i dont think they are doing it4 His glory. they are building their own kingdom
I dont see the problem with them writing songs about things other than God. songs about love, relationships and life in general can still have a positive message even though it isnt a "christian" song. I dont think there is anything wrong with a "rock" band made up of christians. This is a group of guys who are clearly talented enough to sign to a major label like Warner, make a lot of money and forget all about calling themselves christians (remember switchfoot, sixpence none the richer).(cont)

thats what im saying. there is nothing wrong with their songs. i used to love their songs but after i heard this interview im wondering if they are singing from their hearts or if they just heard a couple of cool lines from their pastor daddys and decided 2 put them to music. the reason i think this is because the whole interview is just about them. nothing about what God had done in their lives.

(cont) nothing about what God has done in their lives. when they talk about their new album they say its the most "us" they have ever recorded. if they are doing it 4 Gods glory there is supposed 2 be no "us" in there. i have nothing against secular music and i dont really care if some songs are abouts something other than God as long as they dont contradict Gods word. but almost seems like they feel uncomfortable saying "God" in this interview. listen closely ull hear it.

(cont) ull hear it. i do admit tho i shoulnt have been so quick 2 say they wernt born again. that is not up 2 me to judge. the bible does say tho that we will know them by their fruits. im my opinion this guys are not sincere
They do mention God. They recount the story of Socrates teaching a young student.....you'll know you're searching after God's purpose when you need it as much as you "need to breathe."
Even if every song isn't Christian by nature is no reason to say they aren't Christian...
I don't believe you are born again, the things you are typing should never be coming from your hands, you are a blasphemer and will be judged accordingly for judging others.
See how stupid you sound, you have no idea where their hearts are so keep your ridiculous opinion to yourself.

These guys are amazing live.
If you have seen them live, you can tell the songs are sung from their hearts.
There's no doubt that they all know Christ personally.

Firefly, who are you to judge them? Who are you to say that they are not sincere or "born again?" You obviously do not know a thing about them.
