In New York City only police and criminals are allowed to carry weapons. Citizens are not allowed to defend themselves. That's why I live in Florida where people can have guns, knives, pepper spray, and yes even taser guns are allowed to be carried by private citizens as long as it's for their own self defense. Oh did I mention we also have a law that is called the "stand your ground law?" This means I can legally shoot a thug anywhere in the streets so long as my life is in danger.
