So let me get this straight...You're on a space station that has been controlled by a dangerous creature(s), that has been seperated into different sectors with sector 1 being the "jungle" zone, and your being guided by a person named Adam... Anyone getting Metroid Fusion Deja' Vu?

@kazuma191 u do realise its the same adam malkovich from metroid fusion... but what ive read.. metroid fusion is the last metroid game...since u find metroids hatching in a hell idk.. then u need to fight omega metroid w/e its name is.... besides.. u dont have the blue suit.. so... idk ^^

@sh4ase It's actually not the same person just a computer designed after him which Samus named "Adam", it did'nt even act like Adam till the Last mission. But overall I think that the pretense behnd the games is incredibly similar...but w/e still good game. And also im pretty sure that fusion is not the last metroid game (story wise)

Don't wanna watch too much videos that are further in the game so I'll just ask.

Assuming you do get different beams later on in the game. What kind of beams are there? o: To be honest I'm always excited about the beams in every new metroid game/metroid game I haven't played yet. xD

I know there is this thing called like... the scatter gun or something. And there is the wave beam. I don't know past that, sorry :-/ But I'll like... Add another comment when I find out

@narutokingchidori Haha, okay. xD It's better than nothing, anyway. Atleast it's good to know they did put in beam upgrades. (From what I know you don't get a suit upgrade, which is a bummer. :( )

@iPushRedButtons There is a gravity suit... Kinda. It's more of a purple glowy aura thing, rather than the actual suit, unlike when you get the Varia suit

All arguments aside. From what I've seen so far, this is Super Metroid 2. There is no doubt in my mind.

The Sakamoto narrative I can do without but the gameplay, atmosphere and creepy solitude remains intact.

Any true gamer will play this.

I have to say, the fact that missile expansions only give 1 additional missile is pretty dumb if they end up having a lower maximum number, and the fact you can't shoot them normally.

along with energy tanks, there better be more than 8 or 9

and if there end up being only 60 or so missiles.. that'd suck.

I know this just looks like the shell of the game but to me, this is 3D fusion.

I'm a huge metroid fan, and I'm pretty impressed so far, there are a few things I'm not too sure about though

First of all there are more 3D rooms or areas than there are 2D, it's just that the D-Pad controls seem a little stupid with so much depth plane in the game, using the nunchuck would've been perfect

Also, though not a massive problem, I don't like the idea of recharging missles, I liked having to collect them and stuff.

it looks good, but It won't better Super, Prime, ZeroMiss or Fusion

o.O this game has just about everything a game should have. Explosions, precariously placed overgrowth (IN SPACE!!!!), epic action seens, explosions, lots of fun even to watch...did i mention the EXPLOSIONS!!! and cute things that turn out to be pure evil!!!

clearly the developers put ALOT of though in this game...and yet i cant help but recignise alot of the setting....even if it does look like a extreamly updated version of the hand held games o.O...

Point the Wiimote upwards and hold A. It replenishes missiles and a small amount of health (the latter only if you're near-death).

Not really, I don't see your point. You jump, explore, and fight like you do in every metroid game (Minus the pinball one :P ). What I see here is no different, I'll be enjoying this game when I pick up my preorder next week while you stay on your pc and complain.

Changes like? And while I'm at it, I've been gaming since 1992, and I didn't play a Metroid Game until metroid prime, which mentioned fusion. Then I got fusion and heard about Super Metroid and later got that. So I pretty much go forward and backwards learning about new and old.

Also Metroid goes into the run and gun genre (But adds exploration), what you do here what you do in other Metroid games, so please elaborate on what you mean by "Changes" in old franchises :3

@BestfanX Metroid is not a series I think can jump into a 3rd-person platformer. The fact that it thrived so well as a FPS is beyond my comprehension.

The sight of Metroid doing this was a shock. I didn't and still don't want to believe that the series is going this way. It looks like the series is getting done over to appeal to a newer audience.

And you have to admit, regenerative missiles? Wtf? This is in the past; why does Samus need pick-ups in other installments? Why does she lose this?

First off, metroid prime is a first person adventure, get it right if you want to win an argument about it.

Regenerating your missiles is a problem, but enemies dropping dangerous explosive missiles for killing them isn't, am i right?

Also Other M at least gives us a reason why samus can't use her abilities,some metroid games (2, Super, Prime 3) doesn't tell us why some of her new powers aren't there. Also if you had all of your powers, the game would be fun but easy =|

There's only 3 sections? Bio, cryo, and pyro spheres? There should be more, otherwise I don't know why the game it's (as some have said) so long... though Fusion had 6 areas plus a Main Sector and it's pretty short too.
