@AlbertoFarra Lol, I had the sound down and I read your comment and I thought, Oh, and I thought 'Ah its probably that one -' and I had turned on the volume and immediately turned it down again xD
i got a question makes a big diference using a muse or a digital pen to paint and if it makes wich digital is most recoment since i never used one i have no idea
@WadsXDXD Wacom is the best brand for drawing tablets. When you start you can buy a Wacom Bamboo..they are quite cheap compared to the more advanced tablets such as the Wacom Intuos 4 or Intuos 3 (if you can still buy that one), but there are probably cheaper brands too, but they mostly have pen's that need batteries. Wacom is fully battery-free (unless you take a wireless one..but thats in the tablet and not in the pen.
thanks for the comment and i do have some tips. You can start tracing drawings you made on paper, to get used with the tablet. Thurder keep practising!! and for sketchbook. Try using enough layers, so you can delete wrong layers.
do you mean with the coloring? I play with the pressure in the wacom program and in alias sketchbook pro. and if you make your brush a bit bigger it's easier to control I guess
this is my other account..just added one movie on this one, but ok..the answer on your question. I use a Wacom Intuos 3. I had to get used to it also, but I started with a cheap tablet of another brand, so this was way better and I was already familiar with tablets because of it.
but..just keep practising, thats the best you can do.
thanks for the reply, I must have rewatched this video 15 times today, the music is amazing, u don't remember the track right? I'm trying to draw a car too, but I can't get lines where I want them, I use the ruler tool in sketchbook pro alot, but still come out looking like crap, which makes appreaciate your work even more. Are you an Industrial designer?
the song is called 'dreamscape' from '009 sound system'..its in the library of youtube.
Do you also draw car's on paper? cause I guess you can best start on paper and maybe trace it in sketchbook to get the feeling.
I would like to be an Industrial Designer, but I didn't like the technique part, only designing, which is just a small part, so I stopped with it and now i'm studying for being a 3d computer animator.
good for u man. The technical part you mean? I'm a Mechanical Engineer, so I know wut you mean by not liking the technical part lol I enjoy the visual design aspects as well.
I to luv sketching and even i have done one quick sketch in alias sketchbook pro. actually i used that software first time while making my sketch video, and it was my 3rd sketch with my bamboo tablet, its very small but i manage, coz i cant afford big one right now. he he
I m student rt. now in New Delhi, India it will be thanks full if u can give me sum critcs so that i can improve my work.
hey thanks for the comment. I also have more video's, but at this account (mrdutchvenom) so if you want to see more sketches you can find them here. But they are not made at the pc..i have to do that again soon;)
if i got it right...i like your drawings soo much..those hand-drawed cars also here in youtube awesome! but what tablet are you using on this? is it wacom? i was thinkin' to get wacom intuos3 A4 but i don't know yet is that smartdecision..if you know something about that, send me message by private, please?
i'll reply with my other login;) you can't rotate the paper, but you can rotate the layer, that's why i stop rotating when i'm going to use different layers..but you can rotate the layer by pressing 'V' on your keyboard.
There aren't any. It's designed to be simple and just like real drawing. If you want to do exact circles or other shapes, you have to place them on the table (i've actually used a ruler right on the table to get straight lines)
millano572, that's not true. You can change the resolution, aspect ratio, and DPI easily, even while drawing.
Zoom is dynamic: hold the spacebar and drag your stylus. If you can't see your sketchlines, change your tool size. 300dpi is standard in comics/illustration.
A Tablet/Stylus is not required but it is nearly impossible to use with a mouse, since it was designed for tablets specifically. Buy an inexpensive Wacom Bamboo, I have a 9x12 Intuos for home, and a 4x6 Bamboo for my laptop.
Hey People, i just downloaded the free trail of SketchBook Pro 2009. Is there any differect between the full version and the trail? or is the trail the full version, just it will run out in a couple of days? Someone please respond
and you thanks for the message;) For me it's the oposite. I cant render in photoshop like this..only by selecting and coloring with masks and that stuff. I prefer corel painter now for free hand sketches, cause you can easy turn the paper without losing quality. sketchbook pro is very good for quick sketches.
you also have a nice drawing on your profile!! you prefer manga?
oh that ones not mine - ill have some of mine up sometime though.
I prefer abstract and freehand in real life on real paper lol - then scanning and editing / coloring - kind of a comic book style but with not such clean lines. - also I really like to edit photo's - paint a pair of wings on a girl to make her a fairy - stuff like that. I like manga also, but not really all that great with drawing their faces (mostly eyes - seems easy but it sucks because its not realistic i guess)
What kind of tablet do you use? I have a crappy Graphire 4, the smallest one. It's actually so bad Wacom discontinued it about a month after I bought the damn thing. It's not even on the site anymore!
hey, I think the bamboo is the replacement for the graphire. If they didnt discontiniue the graphire, I guess they had to make it cheaper and lose money like that;) but ok..I use a Intuos 3, a5 format.
thanks!! for the drawing I used the pencil tool and for the coloring the airbrush tool. I started with a canvas of 1280 x 800 (my notebook resolution), but because I constantly turn the paper I enlarged it to 3000 x 3000

Yeah Dreamscape baby! Oh yeah some pointers, since I'm new, but I have some good ones.
1. ALWAYS NAME your layers something.
2. Learn how to use your layers effectively, with shading, etc.
3. Patience is a virtue with a mouse.
4. Look online for more tips.
