Actually, batteries of different manufacture have different good qualities (among the leaders.) Duracell may last longer in a straight long haul - but for occasional use others 'recover' better, they sort of depolarize themselves a trifle, get back a bit of capacity, lose internal resistance a bit... that can be a point.

Depends heavily upon the device, and also its 'duty cycle' of use.

was it the exact same cd? if the one in the energizer player was shorter in length, then this increased the number of times that the laser lens had to reset itself to the beginning of the cd when playing in "repeat" mode, therefore using slightly more power than the duracell player, which had a longer running cd and didn't have to reset itself as often.

@Count1980 It depends. If your Duracell is newer than your Energizer, then Duracell will most likely last longer. It also depends on the capacity. If you get a Duracell with a higher capacity than a Energizer battery and they are both brand new, Then of course Duracell will last longer. It also depends on the chemicals used to make the battery. So don't simply assume that Duracell is better because you used the same hardware to test it.

@Count1980 yeah i know what u mean. Did the same thing with the rechargeable batteries and the Enegizer ones quickly died if u left them in the cd player or mp3 players. I could still use them the next day even if I left the duracell batteries in them over night.
