  • WHAT GOES UP MOFO'S

  • First concert i ever saw woas Chicago and Earth Wind and Fire together. I think we need to get Blood Sweat Tears ,Chicago, and Earth Wind and fire all on one show.

  • @wazpacman Yeah!

  • @wazpacman My high schools show is actually all 3 of the bands you said you wanna see together! Free - Chicago, Spinning wheel - blood, sweat, and tears, and Getaway & September by Earth Wind and Fire.

  • @wazpacman I totally agree, and while we're at it, throw in free booze and naked, beautiful women. Yep, that sounds good to me.

  • @wazpacman AND The Guess Who

  • My Social-Studies teacher plays this when we spin his Presidential Wheel!

  • @BleuBorn omg my social studies teacher played this when we were talking about the judical branch!

  • Same era, similar style as Chicago -- but a different sensibility. They sound similar because of the brass.

    take care

  • An all time classic!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • MO COW BELL!!!!!!!!

  • @OMouse This music is part of capitalism. Sorry, but for all the crying we hear about capitalism it's amazing the number of people who owe nearly everything around them to it.

  • @mdjones2112 @OMouse agreed. Capitalism first made a golden age of music and now the money game has surpassed the means of artistry (imo). And they're losing so much money now because people refuse to buy sex, glam, or whatever bs they're trying to sell with. They need to go back. Shame Amy Whinehouse died today, i thought she had a real sound and way to her. (not trying to talk about Amy Whinehouse).

  • Dave , you are the best .Because you are from CANADA .No but or if .By the way what happened to the bear wash .LOL

  • Blast from the past, always loved this song.Memories with my brother,R.I.P.Juandre.

  • Love the horn section in this song. Without it this song is barely average, but man what a horn section.

  • Horn sections. Few band got 'em. Those bands who do have them always add some awesome touches to the music

  • @LSA2013 THATS WHY THE GREATEST BAD EVER IS "THE BAND"

  • @LD7476 What about Chicago?! D:<

  • BS&T, Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, The Ohio Players, Kool and the gang, and War, all had some of the baddest horn sections out there at that time! Power, and harmony combined!

Pure musical experiences, to see any of those groups in their heydays!

  • This is where it all came from...ZYK

  • grrreat song, in my opinion :)

  • In memory of Alan Rubin. He'll be remembered for his great horn playing on this classic tune as well as being a member of The Blues Brothers Band. R.I.P. Mr. Rubin.

  • Boys and girls, leave the cowbells around your necks and leave the arrangement too the professionals. B,S & T was listen to by all walks of life and we like it the way it is. Maybe that bell has been swing around your neck for too long and you have to hear it with everything.

  • @FrankBarrey !!!! More Cowbell !!!!

  • @FrankBarrey im surprised people got what you were saying

  • To the 44 dislikes, you must be Spinning your Wheels. Didn't you find the directing sign on the straight & narrow highway?

  • I heard my school's jazz band play this. I would have played it too if clarinet was a jazz band instrument

  • @LSA2013 clarinet IS a jazz band instrument, just ask benny goodman

  • Love David Clayton Thomas' voice...good ol' Canadian boy :-)

  • Funny that AM radio stations found four minutes thirteen too long to broadcast that sublime trumpet solo.

  • need more cowbell

  • great sound Q !

  • love the horns.....

  • Along with Moondance, this song introduced me to jazz, with whom I've had a lifelong love affair.

  • Even christopher walken knows...it need just a bit more cowbell.

  • Lew Soloff is one of the most under-appreciated Jazz masters of the age. To reach notes like that on a trumpet is incredibly difficult, and this man not only had the capacity to do that, but made a very lyrical and catchy solo that fit the form of the piece perfectly.

  • @magicreader1

That trumpet solo is one of the best riffs I've ever heard, and I've heard a lot of them.

  • @brianallancobb if u like the riffs in this track im picking u would love louis armstrongs high society only down side is hard to find the original track in its purest on utube. dave brubecks take five is another u might like to have a listen to.

  • @zelotalot

I had Dave Brubeck in my taxicab in 1985. Incredibly nice man. Had to laugh when I realized I was humming Take Five while driving him. My favorite tune of the Quartet's is Tokyo Traffic. It's on YouTube. It's from what I sadly consider the last good year for jazz (1964) before it devolved into Free Jazz and fusion.

  • @brianallancobb wow the man himself in your cab thats very cool.and i hear what your saying about the last good years for jazz the heady days are well behind us.

  • 44 fucking justin bieber fans

  • Just got this song as the bassist in jazz band. YES.

  • whoever voted against you suck goat balls this song is a classic!

  • 44 people didnt come down

  • 44 idiots.

  • 44 people dont know what good music is

  • How can you not like this song?

  • song from The middle serial. nice :)

  • This song is about a lsd trip

  • The jazz drumming approach sounds great in this arrangement and really makes the song special.

  • Why didn't he name this song "Duh"?

  • i know i'm probably going to get slammed for this but here goes- i've never liked this song- and i'm 53- it always bugged the hell out of me- don't ask me why 'cuz i couldn't tell you, either.....

  • @teceyS3 Now that we know, our lives are complete.

  • @Faytx0 Y'know, I usually hate these things, but you are absolutely right! Maybe because it has the word like 'in' it.

  • @Faytx0 More importantly, why would ANYONE want to use it???
