  • so im curious what the experienced growers and cloners think the best period of time to clone a fast growing (8-11 week cycle) hybrid would be?

  • lets say i wanna clone some of my plants which i started budding and buds are growing (been like 2 weeks in flowering) can i still clone maybe from some branches that dont have buds?

  • @skunkmasta420

an interesting experiment, if you are so inclined to sacrifice a lil smoke,, would be to bury it in heavily vitamined soil and see if you get a brand new grow out of it. i am just beginning my frist grow so im totally no expert but that could be interesting

  • I just cloned my first plant! What do you think the % chance is on it growing roots?

So i cut it with a clean razor 45 degree angle then peeled off a little skin diped it in roottech then put it in my presoaked rockwoal cliped the biggest leaves then I put it a plastic food container grab a thick clear bag and put at the top and rubber banded it to the container. since i dont have a humidity dome. and i put a 65watt light over it not to close or to far. and I remove the bag everyday 4 fresh air

  • @CFarmer408 i would say 50/50. next time use a clone gel. rootteck just sucks, but better then not using anything. for better luck, remove the bag your using 4 times per day. remove it for 20 sec. air out the bag sort of, then put it back. good luck

  • @CFarmer408 It is a gel though! And alright sounds good to me thanx

  • who did you take the cubes off? to transfer them to the cups.

  • @RainK9 ummmm...what?

  • @SAMMCCONNELL

sorry i i mean "how did you removed the cubes" if you did i think i was stoned

  • @RainK9 you dont remove the cubes. the roots grow in them and through them. removing it would kill it

  • @SAMMCCONNELL ooh duhh hahaha thanks

  • @phantomZ400 what you would be doing IS CLONING. when you take a cutting and get it to root, that is cloning. and no, prob wont work.

  • @SAMMCCONNELL yea i read up on this you were right you need the hormone to soften the tissue in the stem of the cuting so it can release roots. hows your success rate?

  • @phantomZ400 95% success rate on average.

  • i got a female clone for 30 dollars!!!

  • @KEPS087 #1, why would you want a clone of a male? of course its was a female....#2. if you payed $30 it better have been at least 2 feet tall and really really good. other wise you got fucked

  • hey mate have you ever cloned a plant thats in flower?i wanna clone my lemon stinky thats 1 week into flower, any suggestions mate?

  • @Bdiddly1

yeah i have done it after 2 weeks into flowering, take your cuts and put them under 24hr light it took mine about 4 weeks to go back to veg and root

  • @aaron1182 -yes i took a couple y-day&put them under a heated prop&fluorescent lights until they root.

  • how to light the lamps every day

  • @4okobaroko ....UM.....what? im guessing your asking about lighting. put your clones under 24 hours of light.

  • great video man! cloning today!

  • Ok Im very new to this. My first grow will be this spring. So pretty much if I buy a feminised seed theyre not always gonna be females? and if I wanna make sure my babies are females I should clone? Sorry for sounding retarded I just dont wanna fuck shit up lol. Thanks. Nice setup too by the way..

  • @BenDover118A well if you can buy clones do so. if your doing seeds then you wont be able to tell if there male or female till they start to flower. if its a boy, kill it. dont take clones till you know for sure its a girl.

  • @SAMMCCONNELL Or you could clone all of your plants, force flower the cuttings once they've established roots, and know the plants sex for sure. I do it every grow. Plus its nice getting a couple bowl packs to taste test before the plants are matured.

  • @BenDover118A BY FUKING SHIT UP U LEARN TRUST ME I FUKT UP PLENTY OF TIMES

  • is it possible to clone without the juice?

  • @anitdragon13 YEST BUT IT TAKES LONGER

  • @skeletone14

thanks but how long in weeks?

  • @anitdragon13 i was curious if u can do it without the juice so i tryd it but that shit toke like 3 or 4 weeks so i did it with the juice and they rotted in 1 so go with the juice hope tht was helpfull

  • @skeletone14

    thanks that was helpful

this is probably a stupid question

but can u get that stuff from wallmart?

because theres is not a single hydro store in miles of were i live

  • @anitdragon13 i got mine from home dopot dnt know if wallmart has them

  • @skeletone14

we have two local gardening store

    so i mitt check there

  • Question, are you watering them during the 1st 7 days? Spraying with water or anything? I just clipped all mine and am following your vid for instruction.

  • @mcface1111 yes, keep them watered. not soaked, but wet. I spray them one time per day or so

  • @SAMMCCONNELL Thanks, then after the 7 days, get a lil bit of residual in the bottom of the tray and i should be ok? Great info man, and thanks for the reply. Also one other thing, do i want venting in the moisture domes? Or just open a few times daily to allow fresh air entry?

  • @mcface1111 I keep the vents closed for the first 5 days or so. then open and leave open till they are rooted all the way. I also move the rooted ones to a new tray with out a dome for one day before i plant them in soil. helps get them used to being out of the dome and an extra day to root before going to soil.

  • instead of placing clones under the light for twenty hours can you set the clones outside during may or june in the sunlight?

  • @TheNightlife123 not a good idea. if it gets too warm, they will be dead real quick.

  • Nice vid man, straight and easy and to the point. I've cloned alot but been having some difficulty lately.... I noticed one thing important, you put the clone+gel in the cube before its wet, preventing the gel from being wiped away im thinking. Also, have you noticed temperature doing alot? Since i have been having problems I have been in a cold climate, trying to keep my clone space above 60 has been a challenge, but will the extra 10 degress, up to 70-75 really make that big of difference? TY

  • i dont know much about plants so if this is a stupid question sorry, but can u clone male plants?

  • @certifiedbomber Yes you can, and the clone will be the same gender as the plant you get the clone from, so, male plant will only give male clones, which in this case, is exactly what we are trying to avoid ;)

  • Your video was very helpful, dont worry about the asswhipes, they're just whining bitch asses

  • why he show his face?

  • @djbigfun why would I hide?

  • Thanks alot! Great video! Don't listen to the negativity.. Happy Blazings!! =)

  • is this idiot really showing his face

  • all you have to have is have the grow root and dip the stem in there put you have to peel alittle bit to expose the inside but not that much then dip it the grow root then plant it whereever

  • Should I correct Ph in water used for misting or flushing?

  • THANK YOU... your the only person who actauly explaines almost everything in 1 video

  • @14GIJoe55 dry...and try to keep it dry.it shouldnt get wet on its own.

  • and yes if your not using the nutes this guy is using i would reccomend presoaking or boiling the rockwool cubes as they are very alkalinik and will burn your clones.also the use of a heating mat and an air pump with an attatched airstone will provide oxygen to the roots.you will get alot of swetting and this will produce the most roots...

  • what state do u live in (i need to no for the price of rock cubes) n do u grow outside cuz i need some new tips my harvest this year wasnt that great

  • Thank alot for posting this

  • Do you pre soak your cubes Sam?

They look dry when you dip them into your bowl of nutes

  • @fishingpat73 no I do not soak them. There really is no need to. You can if you like.

  • @SAMMCCONNELL

    How about PH...5.5 - 6.0???

    Keep up the good work!

  • @fishingpat73 ....6.5-7.0 is preffered.with temp 75-85 degrees...

  • @SAMMCCONNELL are you growing for free for any patients that can not afford the prices? See my one minute video about Heroin in the medicine cabinet

  • watsup i'm trying to clone for the first time... can i put the foam cube in the soil once it starts rooting? i'm assuming that the foam can go into the soil.. can you help me out with this?

  • @Supaflyfish I get this question a lot. First, Im guessing you mean the rock wool cube. Answer, is yes. In fact trying to remove the cube would kill the plant. NEVER try to remove it. The cube can be used in soil or hydro.

  • Dude some of the comments...I don't know man.

No wonder this country is going where it is with such idiots around!

  • @stoopsmandoop .......because that is how you clone and get 95% success rate you fucking retard. god dam....why do I keep getting the lames on my page...please go back you licking your dads dick

  • @SAMMCCONNELL I agree i use the same ingredients in the bole along with superthrive, and get 100% healthy clones! use the same for germinating, never do i have a bad day! got to use superthrive for clones that does wonders!

  • @TheHabit00 why do you clip off the end of your leaves

  • @megajames3000 because for 1 there to heavy, and for 2 they take to much energy out of the clone

  • My leaf stems are purple is that normal?

  • Very good bro I got every idea how to

Clone out of this and my clones look ok

But have been 14 days and still see no roots? That look healthy and are heading

Towards the light but no roots!

I'm using h&g with part a and part b with Multy enzyme and root.

  • @Lowg3m dont want closer to light bulbs...farther would b better.and the use of a heating mat will produce better sweating in the cloning dome which will greatly increase root production.fourteen days is way too long should be done in seven.

  • your the mother fuckin man for posting this, thank you so much. most helpful cloning video on youtube!

  • is it normal for them to droop like hell???

  • wut if i just use the floragro?? and superthrive? and FloraBlend?

  • wut if i just use the floragro??

  • can you clone a clone?

  • @diverneef09 yes you can

  • @diverneef09 yes you can

  • @diverneef09 yes you can.but the more you clone a clone the weaker the dna therefore producing males ,hermaphrodites and pretty much garbage.u wana get ur clones directly from the momma.u should b able to get 100 clones from one mom if u do it right!

  • can you clone a clone?

  • Why do you cut the tips of the leaves off before you clone it?

  • @guitardude12345 He could have cut the leaves before or after he cloned it. The reason for this is so that the plant doesn't focus on the growth of the leaves as much and concentrates more on producing and growing roots.

  • It's not crack u fuckin retard

  • @kearsley92 What the hell you talking about

  • @kearsley92 Green Crack is a strain of cannabis... it doesnt actually mean it's crack, thats just the name... like white widow, purple kush, etc.... oh and Sam, i have a question. do you leave the cuttings in the rockwell cube when you put it in the dirt?

  • @WakeUpAndLegalizeIt of course. the roots grow in the rock wool. trying to remove would break the roots and kill the plant.

  • @SAMMCCONNELL alright thanks man... yeah i was thinking of how hard it would be to separate the roots and the rock wool. its a good thing you just leave it on. Peace

  • @WakeUpAndLegalizeIt lol green crack. the best name ive heard for a strand was "fucking incredible" like ima b a breeder and name all my shit "pussy" or "doo doo dank"

  • can you clone without the hormone?

  • yeah i know how to tell sexes .... i just dident know when to clone ....... so to months right... oh and im not replying cause my ps3 won't let me!

  • @MegaHayhayhayhay Two months retard!!

  • how old should a plant from seed be before cloning?

  • @MegaHayhayhayhay from seed you need the plant to be at least 2 months old before it will show its sex. after the plant is 2 months old, take a cutting and get it to root. after it roots, flower it. if its a girl, great. if its a boy, kill it and the mom

  • is the rooting hormone 100% completely necessary?

  • @RadientProductions no its not. however, you will have much much better luck using it.

  • @SAMMCCONNELL thankyou for your answer. (: i like the whole idea of organic so i might just take a bunch of clones and hope fo the best that they root. thanks agen cheers from canadaa

  • how old is the mother

  • @MegaHayhayhayhay the plant i took the cutting from was a rooted clone about 2 weeks before i took the cutting. so this mom is only about 2 weeks old

  • Can I use 1 42watt 6500k cfl spiral bulb for the humidity dome? it's going to be my first time cloning and I was going to take about 6 cuts for my first attempt...Check my channel out when you get the chance!

    Stay medicated!

  • most videos i see after they dip there clones in gel, they put them into rock wool, can i put them in soil after i use the gel,

  • @SensiRootsBoy you could. most would not make it however. get the rock wool. Its only $4 or so for 30 cubes. after they root in the cubes, then put them in soil. No real reason not to use rock wool.

  • @SAMMCCONNELL ya i'm going to buy those rockwool cubes and the plastic tray with the dome today, your video is awesome !! helped me a ton, thanks.

  • My clone has been doin good then rooted and put in cup then all of sudden leafs start turning yellow n brown any suggestions?

  • @nativehomie like i said u must boil or pre soak the cubes.they are high in alkalinity and will burn the roots and the leaves!

  • Thx

  • When u put them in the cup do u need to poke holes to drain and how often u water them

  • @nativehomie YES!! holes are needed for sure. you want the soil to be moist, but not soaking wet. never let the roots dry out. too much water will harm them also.

  • awsome vid well done

  • your like my god man!! keep up the good work :D

  • do you put the rockwool cube in soil?

  • @xbox360guy09 after the cutting has rooted you can put it in soil or in hydro system.

  • WHAT DO U SET THE PH AFTER U MIX EVERYTHING ???

  • @jaytheraver 5.8-6.2

  • Quick question, can you clone from a plant that is flowering or very near harvest?

I like the idea of cloning but I only have enough room in my tent to grow one plant at a time, so I'd like to take a clone of a plant that is nearly ready for harvest so when it is harvested, I can continue growing the clone.

  • @samthewise45 Sounds like its to late

  • @samthewise45 yes u can.but id take them ahead of time so u know u have something for sure when u kill the momma.

  • Great video man.

  • shakey much

  • u shuld have cut the clone at a 45 degree angle

  • @aliennationz ...........i did, and i do

  • cuttings need high phospourus right

  • MY clones are in rapid rooter and clonex. 3rd day in and they're bent over and stressed/dead looking. is something wrong?

  • @Graceng13 sounds like its not humid enough. if your not using a clear dome, try that. also spray your plants with water to keep them damp some. that will help a lot.

  • @14GIJoe55 dry

  • do you use peroxide in the water when you wet it or spray?I find it works better.

  • @MrDionysos23 GOOD QUESTION!! i do use peroxide. what i do is dip the cube in water with peroxide about the 5th day. I really helps keep down the nasty stuff from growing on the plants and cubes.

  • what temp do you keep it at?

  • @shanedavidmusic room temp. my grow room runs around 75

  • is that the only place to take a clone?i was think about taking from the bottom

  • @vietphatness you can do that

  • you could use an upside down fish tank as a humidity dome.

and, are the cloned plants just as strong in THC or CBD as the ones from seeds? or are seeds gonna give you better weed?

  • @vistadude123 GOOD QUESTION!! clones will be just as good as the one from seed....sort of. a clone from a clone will be less strong. the clone from a clone from a clone even less strong. and so on.

  • @SAMMCCONNELL i read that the potency does actually increas while vitality decreases.and older mothers flower quicker.

  • @SAMMCCONNELL not true. studies have shown that clones will not be any less "strong". you could be in the 8th generation, and it will be the same as the original.

  • @dmbcskater interesting.....can you post where you got that info? I would like to read that study.

  • once u put the clones in the humidity dome do u leave the lights on 24 hours a day?? please reply as soon as u can

  • @nanoisthebest yes, 24/7

  • @SAMMCCONNELL thanks for the tip

  • how hard is it to pull the plant off the cube after the second stage? Do you brake the cube up or yank it out?

  • @sayhello2pedro um..dont do that. the plant grows into the cube. the roots are started in the cube. so you can not take it off or out of the cube. there would be no reason you would want to take it out in the first place.

  • @sayhello2pedro u dont have to pull it out

  • thanks to your vid i got the courage to mutulate my bab ies and i cloned all 4 of my strains out of 40 cuttings 2 i pulled because they looked like they were dying. All in all thank you again I dont have to spend money buying clones any more !!!!

  • @demon213kushed your very welcome.

  • Do you use heating mat?

  • @SLiPBoNe1 nope, i put a towel under the tray, and it seems to work just fine. as long as its not cold in the room i dont think one is needed.

  • When you said you should always start with your 'micro' first what exactly did you mean?

  • @DeCo818 most fertilizers are a 3 part. Micro, veg, and bloom. You must use all three at the same time. When mixing them, you add the micro first, mix, then add the other two.

  • dude u need to smoke you shaking bad

  • @MrMultisuperchef no, I need to lay off the coffee....had a bit to much before this video.....coffee is my drug

  • TY your vid is probably the best and most informative in the cloning dept. ty for this up.

  • @demon213kushed your very welcome, and thanks

  • i have everything i need to grow. i think. my problem is cloning. i have roottech super thrive, advanced nutrients grow micro and bloom, rhino skin, B-52, sensizym. and seem to have problems getting the roots to fully develop. how often do you water ? the cubes ? it takes mine a long time. like over 2 weeks. should i use rhino skin, B-52, sensizym ? would this cause clones to lockup ? should you only transplant once you see roots on the bottom?

  • @trpldc99 you might be over doing it a bit. just dip your cuts into the rooting gel or powder. put them in the cubes and water them. keep the cubes damp, but not dripping wet. use a dome to keep the air moist. should take about 10 days to see roots. when you have roots, plant them.

  • @SAMMCCONNELL takes me five days to show lots of roots...also i presoak rockwool cubes due to alkalinity issues.pre soak for twenty four hrs then you wont have burned leaves and roots.also i use air pumps with airstones attatched and keep water in the tray.try it out dude works wonders...

  • can you clone once it's budding??

  • @julegon2 if its really budding, not a good idea. however if it has just started you can. you wont have as many root, and it takes longer, but you can do it.

  • wow thats crazy..

  • if we clone from a plant in the vegetative phase, how do we know if its a female ?

  • @pontikas you must be starting from seed. the best way is to take the plant your going to clone from and start it flowering. after it shows its sex, and if its a girl, put it back onto a veg cycle. let it go for 2 weeks to get back into veg. then you can take cuttings from it. if its a boy, get rid of it.

  • @SAMMCCONNELL Thanks for the info. Wouldn't that stress out the plant and cause it to perhaps become a hermaphrodite ?

  • @pontikas it can yes. but its the only way to do it. You could also just clone it, and put one of the clones into flower to see what it is.

  • @SAMMCCONNELL That's a good idea. I will try that. Do think I could find out within a month what it is ?

  • man im a heel, i forgot to say what a great video you made!

you rock man guys like you are 1 in a 1,000,000!

  • @majorgreen1 thank you very much. i do what i can to help....god i love to grow

  • @SAMMCCONNELL is it true that if you dont cut all the stems the rest of the stem can dry and mold the plant and bud
