Mexi20000 is liying. Because on the VCS Centipede atari 2600 verson the highest score you can get is 99999 and then it reset itself. Trust me I know, I got to 99999 and it started the score all over again. Unless that dude had a different Atari 2600 centipede cart. Thats the only way.

Haha I still own my Atari 2600, only games I still own though are Asteroids, Missile Command, & Space Invaders. Guess I'll need to re-own Centipede:)

I have an old Atari Club Magazin from 1984. There is a record from a german Centipede Atari 2600 Player (World Final).

Attention!!!The Score is: 297517 in 20 minutes. I dont think that the X-Box 360 and PS3 Player with her High-resolution-graphics can play this highscore today. Her hands are much to slow. That this highscore is possible shows the record. All NEW X-Box and PS3 Gamer dosen't comes in the near of this record. The Atari Gamers from the 80' are the real Videogame-Masters!!!!!!!!!!!!
