@09paulia My guess would be that he is looking at the guitar neck and his finger placement. I played for a few years and i always had to check my fingers while playing. Alot of the great guitarists still check their placement.

@gush050 nobody knows for sure what it is. it could be the instrumentals to ghosts of days gone by (without the singing) or it could be the yet to be released song For what may never come.(which will be released in 2 weeks... i guess we will all find out

@gush050 Yes, Ghost Of Days Gone By originally had a different intro which you can hear the very end of in this video at 2:03. The intro was edited out during mixing so that version does not exist anymore.

@gush050 Yeah, actually that intro youre talking about appears in the mark tremonti instructional dvd, when he explains that the only thing he uses for recording his ideas is a small personal audio recorder instead of all the amazing gear that alter bridge has.
