I was a little kid when I first played this... I didn't understand anything of what they were saying... since english is not my native lenguage... I droped it because I couldn't finish a mission... that's what happens when you don't understand a lenguage.
You press triangle (or up + triangle) on the Playstation controller. If you are using ePSXe or an emulator, then you will have to use whatever keyboard (or gamepad) button triangle is assigned to.

@mike24157 make sure you don't have any police chasing you at the time or you won't be able to get out of the car. other than that just press triangle to get out.
The new Driver is simply a reboot to the franchise. Driv3r was pretty fair, and Parallel Lines had some ridiculous shooting mechanics. I admit the non-story missions get old fast. It is still fun, and the best Driver to come out since Driver 2.
Driver was never about Tanner wielding a gun and going all Grand Theft Auto on everyone's asses. A lot of peeps who never played the older games wouldn't know any better.
Driv3r and Parallel introduced guns to attract a wider audience.
@Downsider24 yes i agree san francisco is definetly a remake of the original driver except more modern and shift was pretty much like getting out of the car in driver 2 and the rest and for any people who hasnt bought the game yet i really recommend it its really fun ive beated everything so far except story missions and im still not bored of it reflections really made a bad move going up against gta and rockstar should have never made fun of this series and just leave each other alone

You pretty much have to beat the game in order to unlock the cheat menu. I don't remember any code that enabled you to have invincibility from the start (unless you use Gameshark).
Hey, I have pne question - I have my both discs of Driver2 which I bought many years ago and I used to play it on my PSX. I wanted to play it again, but my PSX doesn't work anymore, so I wanted to play it on my PC - I have ePSXe - everything is fine, but I have one problem - I can't save the game - everytime I go to the save screen I get only black screen, but I can hear the sound of selecting options, like it is in menu - but I don't see anything. That happens also on load screen. What to do?
If I remember correctly, I think this happened to me too. It might be something with the graphics plugin not recognizing that screen or something. Truthfully, you're better off just using the save state feature in ePSXe (that's what I do whenever I save games in ePSXe).
Wow, I remember this. It was my favourite game for a long time, and I was really stoked for Driver 3. When I finally played it I got bored pretty quickly. :(
you know what I like about this game? That you don't have other cars honking at you every 2 seconds like on gta. Even if you are driving at the correct speed on the correct side of the road on gta you constantly and I mean constantly hear cars honking at you.
Man, I remember talking to my cousin long time ago, when we used to play this game like all day, and we talked about how awesome could be if the character could not only get out of the car but also shoot the people and other things that could make this game more "Interesting" Now that the years passed and we have lots of games like that I just wanna come back in time and say to myself that Driver 2 is AWESOME the way it is!
i just downloaded it for the psx, version 1.7, but i have a problem with the menu of the game, it is always blinking, theres any config for stop this to happening
Multiple people have been reporting this issue in 1.7.0... The only suggestion I would say is to try messing around with Pete's video plugin or try downgrading to version 1.5.2.

Hell yeah man! Nickelodeon was all me and my brother watched back in the day! Countless weekends of switching from Nick to Playstation and then back to Nick (and rinse and repeat). It was an endless cycle that we grew to know and love on the weekends. I one time a few years ago just for laughs switched on the new Nick and saw this one cartoon with this weird girl in glasses. I remember looking at the screen and thinking "What the fuck Nick, yeahhh you've gone way downhill...".

This game would have been good if it played reasonably well. The pop-in was unbearable, I'm usually pretty forgiving about that stuff, but the devs simply bit more than they could chew.

Hey XDlosDominicans, here's what you do when you beat that last mission in Havana. In ePSXe, you have to go to file > "Run from CD-ROM". You have to play the first mission in Vegas from a Driver 2 Disk 2 CD (can be legit or a burned ISO copy from the internet). If you don't have the original PSX disks of Driver 2, you can burn the ISO of Disk 2 by using an image burning program like Alcohol 120%. If you need more specific instructions, tell me so and I will go into greater detail in a PM.
Which song do you want? The one in the cutscene or the one that plays in-game during the mission? Both are awesome. I'm sure for Hound Dog Taylor - Sitting Here Alone, you could find a download online but for the in-game track... That might be a little harder to obtain. Tell me which you want and I'll be willing to provide :D.

We actually didn't use any rom from the internet to play the game on ePSXe, I created the ISOs of the game from my own Driver 2 disks in Alcohol 120%. If you would like, I can PM a link to a rom download that (I think) is still working.

I remember this game. And too this day I still love it. I especially hated the AIRPORT Mission! Aww that was hard! Also, I use to go what I call " Bus crashing " Would have cops push me while I am in the bus and run into people, they would go flying! So much fun.

Dude, so many kiddies these days don't know what thier missing. To me, the ps1 WAS my ps3...as a little kid that is. ^.^ Dino crisis 2 and Driver 2 were the greatest games I've ever played. :(::: Sad to see neither of them are in the playstaion network store. Dear Sony, What will I do to convince you!!!

Beautiful. Its brings a tear to my eye. My childhood was fanastic. Those good old cartoons, the fantastic games. I would give a million to experience my childhood again. But now that I'm seventeen, its too late. If I knew that I would miss it this much, I would've enjoy it even more.

Hey XDlosDominicans, here's what you do when you beat that last mission in Havana. In ePSXe, you have to go to file > "Run from CD-ROM". You have to play the first mission in Vegas from a Driver 2 Disk 2 CD (can be legit or a burned ISO copy from the internet). If you don't have the original PSX disks of Driver 2, you can burn the ISO of Disk 2 by using an image burning program like Alcohol 120%. If you need more specific instructions, tell me so and I will go into greater detail in a PM.

Which song do you want? The one in the cutscene or the one that plays in-game during the mission? Both are awesome. I'm sure for Hound Dog Taylor - Sitting Here Alone, you could find a download online but for the in-game track... That might be a little harder to obtain. Tell me which you want and I'll be willing to provide :D.

We actually didn't use any rom from the internet to play the game on ePSXe, I created the ISOs of the game from my own Driver 2 disks in Alcohol 120%. If you would like, I can PM a link to a rom download that (I think) is still working.

I remember this game. And too this day I still love it. I especially hated the AIRPORT Mission! Aww that was hard! Also, I use to go what I call " Bus crashing " Would have cops push me while I am in the bus and run into people, they would go flying! So much fun.
