what is one use?? is one use from when you close the housing until when you open it. or is one use a days worth of skiing?

@Sammant776 To be honest I do not know. I think of one uses as one full charge of the battery or one day of uses basically whenever you have to open the case. That is the only time that more damp air is going to enter the case. They are not hard to put in the oven and it really sucks if your GoPro fogs up.

yes that is right 4 uses then oven, then 4 uses, then oven, then 4 uses, then oven..... and so on they should last forever.

I guess I'll buy some anti-fog inserts as well for skiing. But they won't last forever, right? I've read that they can only be used 4 times by drying them in the oven with aprox. 150 °C ... Pretty expensive for such a short life-time :( Isn't there sth. available that you can dry again and again, that works forever or at least 100 times instead of only 4?

@GalaxyTraveler I have been re-using my anti-fog inserts for some time now. After the 4 uses I put the pair in the oven at 300°F for 5min then they are good to go for another 4 uses and so on... From my understanding they are indefinitely re-usable.

Just make sure you bake them after 4 uses I tried for 5 one time and the lens steamed up right away.

@kylemartn101 Oh ok thx, that sounds good. Thought I have to throw them away / that they do not work anymore after drying them 4 times in the oven.
