  • (Pt.2) so they still was in search of another cure and yes this is a true story it will be a year in january that they have been miraculously cured. They can describe every bit and piece of detail dealing with cervical dystonia so you'll know their story is true. I wouldn't have believed it unless I saw It for myself and I still get teary eyes everytime I think about it, GOD really and still does work miracles to this day.

  • (pt.1) I know of somebody that was just diagnosis with this condition about a year ago they researched everything they could possibly find about St, They was put on so many different medications some of which was really strong, they talked about their struggles and the tremendous pain that they suffered dealing with Dystonia on a daily basis, until they finally found or what they thought would be the perfect solution " Botox " well that wasn't what one would expect,

  • I'm reasonably sure that my ST/CD stems from my taking kava and melatonin daily for years. I stopped taking both five years ago, but it was too late. Now I have this condition for life. Be cautious about what you put in your body -- I bought both of these substances over the counter.

  • i hope it is not what comes after using haloperidol

    haldol

  • @klett69 Many prescriptions medications can cause Dystonia. Please use caution if you think a certain med is to blame. Perhaps discuss with your doctor other options.

  • To me a better description for those who do not suffer from this affliction, is to ask have you ever suffered from a muscle cramp, like in your calf muscle? That is what ST feels like 24/7 but usually localized in the neck and shoulder area. The chronic pain is indescribable and at times intolerable.

  • "An estimated million or so..." wow, nice facts. "Lack of family understanding" really? just because they have a neck deformity doesn't mean that they don't understand what a family means. Stop trying to pull on the heart strings.

  • @djunklesbay it is disorder in the brain. understand - IN the brain, and manifests itself further with neck disorder, spasmic contractions, anxiety, social difficulties, so on and on. Cervikal dystoni / torticollis..

On the whole wide web i have managed to find one reasonably informative document about the condition witch is fairly new and unexplored. sadly for you it is in norwegian. but you can maybe read some.

  • @djunklesbay A million or so PEOPLE (not Americans only) seems about right (about one person in every 3,300 has it). What is meant by "lack of family understanding" is that family members tend not to understand what the ST sufferer is going through. It's strange how common this is, and (because ST is aggravated by stress) it often forces the person with ST to cut ties with family members just to reduce the physical agony of being around them. If you have CD, pls visit stclinic.com. It helped me!

  • As someone that has ST, I think this is a great video, and I think it should be on television so others will know about it.

Whoever came up with this is a saint!
