4. Between masha, jankovic - jankovic ! only bec she havent won a slam.

5. between masha, azarenka, wozniacki - masha.

6. between masha, kim C - kim.

7. between masha and deBrito - masha ( gruntometer wise)

the score was 6/2-6/1, for Masha's power aggressive game, thats barely a fight. Masha even acknowledge that she only won 3 games in her final '07 match with serena. thats submission to me.

Funny, the only way Masha won the Aussie '08 is without Serena. These 2 face each other in the final of '05 and '07. Masha didnt gave much effort in her '07 match for she knows she cant beat Serena if and when shes playing well.

Sharapova was guns blazing in that tournament. She landed a bagel on Justine Henin and dismissed Davenport in such way it wasn't even funny. It took so much out of her but it was wort it. I fell in lve with her because she's not just a pretty face. She fights and has a very savage way to play. But it's bad because it takes it's toll eventually.

@u229758 This was Maria at her very best. Though she has been so successful over the years, I have never seen her so focused and strong through seven matches like she was here--before or since. Kind of strange how Ivanovic would go on to win the French a few months later and then both of them would fall off the map in such dramatic fashion over the next couple of years.
