@GibbyGibbyGibb Yes. Music like this is my love: it reflects my soul: emotional, cute, caring, soulful, sexy-in-a-non-sleazy-way and pure and innocent :) Today's music is just a sleazefest :(
Didn't Sonia appear on Blockbusters? before she became a pop star?! I used to love her when I was kid... hearing this again after so many years though it does sound like Kylie of that era!
I still cannot believe that someone from the U.S. hasn't promoted this woman yet! Would love to be the one to do it, she would make a fortune with the proper marketing in the U.S.
@obcityann Dearest! Thank you for that information! I never knew about it, and I never heard that song until your mention now. Genius yes! Also, I read a commenter here that said Counting Every Minute (1990) inspired Emotions (Mariah Carey, 1991).
am i right in thinking the chap dancing infront of the clock is the same one who was dancing in the pjarmas as trousers that features in the 'listen to your heart' video
When summers were great, when the economy wasnt fucked, when our politicians actually loved this country, when there was no free for all immigration when Liverpool won the league, when the USSR football team were one of the best in the world and when music was FUN.
Thank you for up this video i was looking for a long time, Back in early 90's Disco in Japan we were listen her song so many time ! I love this dong so much!
I'm reading the autobiography of Stock from SAW at the moment, and sadly you're right, they considered themselves the band and the singer the 'guest vocalist'. And they would call them in, sing each line to them which the singer had to recite and then kick then out of the studio.
I didn't know Mike Stock had an autobiography out, I'd like to get a hold of that one. I'm reading Pete Waterman's autobiography at the moment, I haven't got to the juicy bits yet but it'll be a good read.
Lol, good point. Waterman's book is called 'I Wish I Was Me', so far it's a good read but he's clearly a conceited sod, and I haven't even read half the book yet!
@allkneelandpraiseme The funny thing is that's exactly how it sounds - THAT IS their sound - more or less always - TO A TEE. Only a few people like Donna Summer, naturally (it takes Donna Summer to breeze in and hone it all down") were able to treat it such that the effect of S.A.W. was not what you wrote.
Bananarama buggered off because he tried to control them haha BUT then they went back to him in 1992 and made one of their (in my opinion) best tunes ever "Movin On" then they buggered off again haha
woyeah! loving the song! The wait is nearly over, Sonia's brand new single, her first in 9 years is finished and has been recived by dj,s accross the country who seem to love it and a release date of June 1st has been set.
Emotions by Mariah Carey is a TOTAL lift of this song. Everybody Knows also features a track called Can't Help The Way That I Feel which is Eternal's Power Of A Woman with different lyrics.
Worth checking out too is Sonia's version of Elvis' classic Can't Help Falling In Love With You. You thought Joss Stone was good- that could be released as a Whitney record and few would be any the wiser
terrible!

This was her worst song during that SAW era in my opinion. It's not as easy to listen to as her other songs.

I loved this song along with many other SAW tunes, but my God they were money-hungry bastards, all they did was prey on wannabes and exploit them.
