Swans are mute until they are dying. Maybe the swans you filmed are dying and that's why they didn't want you ruining their last moments together with your filming. ^^ But I'm glad you did this. I wanted to hear a swan's song. Some retard put up a vid about a swan song but it was just an ugly dog barking. I was mad until I found this. So thanks. ^^

That's an incorrect assumption. They do make metallic squawking sounds like in the vid, or hiss or growl.

Actually, swans aren't mute and they don't sing before they die. It's more figurative and poetic. Scientifically, it's been proven wrong.
