Those of you who think that the car this vid was filmed in has a BOV fitted, you are mistaken. It's the lack of a BOV that gives the 'turkey gobble' sound. Usually this sound is achieved by the lack of a BOV and by using a short intake pipe with a decent bend in it.

a standard vl turbo doesn have a bov it has an over boost valve. which is a protection valve in case your engine starts to hand granade..d3ind. i do not have a bov what so eva the noise you hear at the end of this clip is expressed as a DOSE. inlet manifold pressure coming back out the compressor side of the turbo... agreed ?

its the boost pressure in the intercooler an cooler pipes coming back out the compressor side of the turbo. when he takes his foot of the accellerator..the plenium closes .. the boost pressure has to go somewhere..back out the turbo. if u cant understand that ..theirs something wrong

that would be the bov... instead of releasing excess boost in one "gush" its now "dose'n" or "dose" pull the vacc line off you your blow of valve to achieve this.... now as for boost re-entering the turbo yes and no... to combat this a turbo uses a wastegate which is either inbuilt to the turbo or external... its set to a psi rating and is used to by pass the turbo and vent straight into the exhaust

once again not a blow off valve, to create a dose sound a pipe fitted to the front of the the turbo and as the air comes back through the turbo, the sound echos through the pipe making the sound u here.. JTYLAGG would agree with me on this

yep its not a BOV...just a straight pipe...so after the intake closes the pressure build up inside the pipe has to run back through your turbo...not good for your turbo though!!
