  • you really need flashpro. I have a Greddy turbo RSX-s with Kpro and get about 254whp on about 6.5psi

  • hey man i was just wondering if you culd help me out at all? i just got an 08 si coupe and i wanted to put a turbo on it. is there any chance you can give me any advice on about how much it would cost me and where i can find these parts? thanks!!

  • @bass16v I am now on the Hondata Flashpro engine management and its leap years ahead of that horrid Emanage ultimate I was previously on. I hit 300WHP now with that, the Hondata boost solenoid and larger 750cc RC Injectors. I have a great tuner so my AFR's are rock solid and range from low to mid 11's under WOT. And my injector duty cycle never goes over 69% =)

  • 230whp at 8psi?? Wow... You need flashpro badly!! I'm running the same psi and i'm at 300whp. look at my vid's. But you need to upgrade to much larger injectors also. the 370's are very small, and if you up'd it to the Injector Dynamics 1000's or to the RC650's you'll be able to feed out high redline.

  • @nycclaye Oh I know it man! I did just that, lol. The emanage is trash. I now have Flashpro and upgraded to RC 750cc injectors. The highest I hit was 297WHP on a dynojet =) I just ordered the Hondata Boost Solenoid and will be getting that installed and tuned next week for boost by gear/rpm..woot woot!

    Gonna run 8pds on gears 1-2 and 10pds on gears 3-6. I know I will be real close to maxing out this turbo.

  • @computersupport yea, i'm on 8thcivic too. i would look into only running about 4-6psi on 1st and 2nd gear. tooo much wheelspin for street tires, and i'd run 8psi in 3rd and run 12psi 4-6. you've got the fuel up top now to do so. i assume you're running a Walbro 255lph?

    fyi, my 8thcivic name is NYCCLAYE just like on here. look in the F/I section bc we are planning a nationwide forced induction meet.

  • @nycclaye I will talk with my tuner about that man and may just do that for the boost by gear. Thanks for the tips bro. And yeah I had the Walbro 255 from day one =) Quick question, how are your EGT's and IAT's under 10-12 pds of boost? I know with the log manifold & small GReddy turbo they can get a little high.

  • @computersupport my IAT's stay fairly neutral. They're not that bad. Nor are my EGT's since i'm still runnin the S2 70mm. I'm not going to say my tune is anywhere near conservative either lol, but I do have two wicked ass tuners. Between Sharif A. and Scott Seigel of Forged Performance, my car is a reliable beast. The company that did the install did a fantastic job as well.

  • would you consider this turbocharger small? the greddy kit for the ep3 is the same turbo and im thinking about buying the kit

  • @TumbleWeed954 It is definitely small and runs out of steam up top. But...it also spools up incredibly due to its size and with the Hondata boost solenoid ($100) you can adjust boost by gear and also hold that boost up top which will dramatically improve performance. I will be doing that this summer ;)

  • @sckrapz09 Sorry it took so long to reply man. If you are on a budget and want no more than around 300-330WHP then the GReddy kit is perfect. If you want more then go Full race...great kit. Flashpro is the new engine management from Hondata...amazing stuff. Larger injectors are needed if you go with the GReddy kit..they come with 370cc and you need at least 650 or higher depending on your goals. Hit me up if you have any questions man!

  • I don't have one right now. The Greddy kit doesn't utilize one straight out of the kit b/c of the low boost setup. If I ever raised the boost I would probably go with HKS.

  • yeah imma change my pipeing i only got 2.5 catback...but imma go 3" all the way...so i can hear the turbo spool...tnx for the tip...and yeah can i go reflash?...or not?...

  • Do yourself a favor and make sure to order Flashpro. It will let you control everything on this car and with a good tuner you will make some excellent power and the drive ability will be better than it was at stock (no rev hang, 4600 V-tech engagement with 8600 redline).

    I watched a video the other day where a guy with the Greddy kit on a Si outran a new Camaro SS at the track...hit close to 13 flat. Not bad considering he is probably making a little over half of the power the new SS is =)

  • 230whp just for the kit?...i got 550cc injectors walbro 225lph fuel pump...act stage 3 clutch kit and flywheel....im w8ing for my greddy turbo kit...nice car bro....can w8 to do mine...hahha....

  • Greddy claims gains up to around 260HP (at the crank) so that's spot on for at the wheels. You have the right idea for supporting mods, bigger injectors, stage 2-3 clutch and flywheel and Walbro FP are a must. Not to mention Flashpro. My car is at TDC right now waiting to get tuned with FP, I cannot wait to see the difference =)

    Make sure you go with a full 3" Turbo-back exhaust as well to get the most out of this kit. It spools so fast..you are gonna love it!

  • get methenol injection and up the boost if you want to make real power safely...

  • I hear ya =) Next is flashpro as well as 550cc injectors. I'll post another vid showing the difference which should be pretty significant.
