I mean on the Pacific side there are so nasty waves but the Bay is generally pretty calm.

I have seen it that big many times at the east end of the bay. even when its calm near the inner harbor area, it can still be pretty big at the east end. that day the surf was coming in from the south and broke some ladies legs by tossing her up into the sand. and also, a wedding party got sucked out and then thrown back on the beach.

problem is, in cabo san lucas, the wave crashes as a shore break. basicly the dude dove head first into about 24 inches of water. so there is shelter in getting under the wave.

wind and surf that day out of the southwest from a small storm about 200 miles out that day. later on all the fishing vessels came in to let the wind pass. the west side of bahia cabo san lucas had almost no waves at all. but the east side was up to 18 feet, shore break brought waves all the way up the beach to the Riu Palace pool.
