I think the problem with translating all of these songs into English is that it really forces you to extend syllables awkwardly. It's because the translation doesn't take into account how exactly it's sung in Japanese - it's just the meaning. So you're left with trying to fill up syllable space with things like: "Kiiii-iii-ii-inndly." rather than "yasashiku."
