This my theory as to why modern game music sucks..... back when the PS1 came out it had literally CD quality 100% propper sound, whereas the graphics were MUCH more limited. Developers could spent time creating fantastic music.... i.e Tekken 2 / Tomb Raider / Crash Bandicoot.

Today, so much time has to go into graphics and physics that game audio is almost brushed aside. You simply do not get these epic and scene setting music in todays games

@fentonjd Game developers often employ a separate team to handle the music and audio. Take GW2 as an example. The audio team are travelling up and down the states recording sound. Jeremy Soule is off composing the music and meanwhile everyone else is free to do the graphics and programming.

If you think game music is a shadow of what it used to be, I ask you look around as there is no shortage of amazing game music produced for modern games.

@fentonjd having a team working on graphics or programming doesn't detract from the music quality - believe it or not, it is very rarely that the audio is done by the same guys who do the video - a separate team is often employed to do the audio.

This level along with Cistern, are my favorite levels. These two were just complex and epic.

I remember being awestruck, and scared at the same time upon entering the tall room with numerous platforms that lead to the gods' rooms.

Well my friend used to do this with his ps2, just leave it on in the menu on the level your on in a safe place where no one can harm u .

Then just leave your ps2 on and then go back to it when u want to. Worked for him but remeber always turn your TV of because then your mum and dad will be woundering why you electric bills so high all of a sudden.

St. Francis Folly freaked me out a lot with Pierre popping out when evere and where ever he wanted adn started shooting at you. Great Walkthrough 5 Stars

This game is great, although I've never played it. And I have Anniversary and it seems a bit easier than what I see here. Still it's nice to see how the game originally worked and played.

I think Anniversary is easy in that you can tell what's what easier. However, I thought the bit with the tower in the second half of this video was greatly improved. It became more of a puzzle.

00 to 00:43 was the tightest scene I ever saw in any game when I played this as a kid and I don't care what anybody says!They should've put that in a TombRaider movie atleast!

did u know that if u put the TR1 disc in a cd player u can listen to all the songs and cutscenes. Track 1 doesnt work all the rest do

The 2nd secret has a technique to get. slide down facing backwards and right as you fall off the long slide hold action (x) and pull up this time let lara fall off the slide and right after she falls off and right before she lands on the next slide hold the jump button which is square and hold it till after she jumps off the slide and lands in the secret room
