Most of the time he's the outmost factor, scoring goals all by himself for his team, he's done it on so many occasions. Just keep in mind that International differs from club, because as an international team you don't play together and train together as much as you do when you play with the club.

Yes he was pretty wonderful back then but so what, to be considered legend you have to be consistently good for years, not just 1-2 seasons. Messi is not a fancy dribbler like Ronaldinho or Ronaldo, but no doubt he's a great player as well.

Cool juggling and dribbling don't make great players, and Ronaldinho was super awesome back then not only for his dribbles, but for his vision and creativity.
