  • love sweet love

  • This is the best of the many recordings i've heard of this piece. Historically informed and Koopman's touch and phrasing are marvellous.

  • Absolute harmony! So peacefull, that i can't belive it was written by human.

  • @JorikYerkin This is just one example of the many wonderful things that came out of the Reformation. Bach was able to create such beautiful music because he did not have to fear Rome. I don't know if he was saved, it seems as though he was, but I won't know till I get to heaven. I believe his music is peaceful because he knew peace, the Prince of peace!

  • omg this is my fav piece of music i was playing when i was a kid...thank you

  • I wonder... is he using a different copy or version? or did he make a mistake... it sounds too fluid and purposeful to be a mistake

  • Sometimes, It's the happiest music that makes you cry.

  • @TheLivingHeiromartyr Very true

  • beautiful music from one of the world's greatest composers. Vivaldi, Bach, Handel, Mozart and others wrote music for the glory of God.

  • beautiful chord progression

  • Koopman has the best voice in his fingers. The best. Even on an instrument with no dynamics, his phrasing is masterful and perfect.

  • I WANT A HARPSICHORD IN MY LIVING ROOM!!!

  • @sigsoundfan ... b b b build one !

  • @sigsoundfan Me too, or a Pipe Organ.

  • I don't know why, but this makes me think of a peaceful and rainy day. Doesn't it, for you? Just think about it; that warm feeling you get while thinking of those days. Compare it to this, because they're both extremely beautiful.

  • When i was teaching myself piano when I was 12, 2 years ago, this was the first REAL song I'd ever learned. Back then it was just memorization, nothing else. Nowadays, I've been studying the chord progressions, and even arranging this piece for orchestras, adding solos and complexity to this already incredible piece.

  • If you listen to "Ave Maria" by Gounod, you can hear that he wove his melody around this piece by Bach. Beautiful.
