My grandfather, a great Christian man, once took me up to the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC. As we were driving back down the mountain, he began to sing this song in his soft Southern accent. He said he wanted this song sung at his funeral. A wonderful song and testimony to the comfort we have in Jesus Christ!
Amazing song. I lost my father, my brother and my son, now my mom is almost gone, I think my cross is almost finish, after this I think is my turn. The sad part is with the exception of my son none of them believed in Jesus. Lonely road to Heaven but my wife keeps me going and she keeps me company and one day we will be there too. Hopefully soon this road will be over and I can be in the arms of Jesus once and for all.

He and his brother had a pact when school let they would meet on other side of river via bridge. Except one day brother did not show. He was accidentally killed. This song was sung at my Mother's memorial service. She was diagnosed with gastric cancer in May of last year and died on September 4th. Although I have never been religious, I know she is with God and feel that she is my guardian angel. This song fills my heart with inspiration and love.

This song hits home here at a time where family should be close and tight. My grandfather passed away this year, he was 93 years old, he suffered for many years before he went home to be with our Lord. It helps to get me through these times. I miss and love hime so. He sang this song the last week of his life in his head I am sure. He is at peace with his Lord and Savior!
