What a complicated issue. However, for those opposing the project due to an aesthetic change, would you rather look out your window and see an oil refinery? Oh wait, you don't have to - you're not poor. To me, wind turbines represent renewable energy and an effort toward a green future. Of course, there are many other issues involved here, but when clean-energy projects can't even get off the ground, how the hell are we going to get away from fossil fuels?
I worked part time as a captain for a woman who had something to do with the board for the stupid people protesting it. I had to take her and 10 of the other retards out to the test tower one day so they could galk over it. she just kept telling me about the ruined view. I don't care about the view, I'm a professional mariner and the jobs it will provide short and long term outweigh her view
I'm 100% proponent for wind farms in the ocean, but seriously, why are they trying to put it in Cape Cod of all places? Why put it in a residential resort town? This is just stupid! Put it in an industrial where people could care less about what it looks like. Duh.
There great, sure they might be slightly noisey, may kill the odd bird or two and yes it might ruin some loser's view but thats nothing...or we could just not use renewable energy like wind...but then the planet will basically die due to global warming.
