  • Is there anyway to actually pilot the parked TIE Fighter you find while moving through the mountain range?

  • @georgeowain Shoot the TIE pilot who's running around the outpost. This can only be done on the night version.

  • @SnakeOnAPlane You can capture a TIE on the day mission too, but it is a lot more tedious. It's a whole different TIE on an obscure part on the map and you have to shoot it with your ion cannon while it's in the air. Then it'll land, and THEN you can pilot it. So it's really not worth it :P

  • May be a dumb question, but how do you play this level in night mode? I can only seem to do it in day mode...

  • @hepburn2000 You have to actually wait till night irl and then select the mission :P

Or you can just change your Gamecube's clock to after 6 PM.

  • @naguleader Ah right. Thanks :)

  • the music for this mission used to scare the hell outta me, now I enjoy the challenge.

  • Done like a pro.

  • The Tyderium was an older shuttle that they didn't really need. Then again, it was yet again, part of Palpatine's ploy to lure the Rebels out of hiding

  • I successfully played this twice after watching how you maneuvered around the last sensors. The first time, I received no medal at all because I took a little too long (trying to gun down most of the TIEs). The second time, I wasted no such time (only shooting the convenient targets), but I missed many more shots than the first time (even though I finished in much less time by flying the shuttle OVER the canyon), and yet I got not a bronze but a SILVER medal. I am a little puzzled.

  • Your description really speaks to me.

  • this level is fucked up i flow as low as a can and i still get detected WTF is wrong!?

  • If you're doing it with the Y-Wing, you have to shoot the sensors with the ion cannon.

  • @Killeruk454 Absolutely true. At least in Rogue Squadron I, they let you destroy the sensors.

  • In X-Wing Alliance, there's a mission to drop a Rebel strike team off in a supply outpost where Tyderium and a bunch of other shuttles are docked in order steal it. You call in Rogue Squadron for support during the escape and I think they destroy the other shuttles to cause confusion.

Though, I thought in the movie they said the shuttle was supplied by the Bothans...

  • I read that the X-Wing Alliance event and the RS one both officially happened one after the other, which is kind of weird

And in the movie they just say that the Bothans got the tactical data, not the shuttle

  • I'm thinking that was the point with their older clearance code. Since everything is done by code, that shuttle might as well be just like any other shuttle.

  • but in this game and in RotJ they identify the shuttle as Tyderium, so it doesn't make much sense why Piett or whoever would have let the shuttle pass, even with the right codes

  • Well, either there is more then one Shuttle Tyderium, or the man at the post was a moron and knew nothing of what was going on. OR, I seem to recall Palpatine knew a lot of what was going on anyway, so I'm pretty sure he just let them pass to trap them.

  • I'm pretty sure that Vader let them by. It's been a while since I've seen RotJ but if I'm remembering right when they give the codes an Imperial officer says that the shuttle was stolen or something like that and Vader tells him to let them pass. Or, maybe Tyderium is like the generic name of all the shuttles.

  • In the movie, the officer says that it was an outdated code but it still checked out and he was going to let them pass. He thought Vader was concerned about it so he asked if he should hold them, but Vader let them pass because he knew Luke was on it.

  • Ohhhh thats right I remember now. And do you know how to unlock the tie fighter in this game? I know theres a cheat code for it but I want to actually earn it. I read that you have to steal the tie fighter on both the day and night missions. I stole it on the night mission with the snowspeeder but I can't figure out how to steal it with the Y wing. Do you know how? Thanks alot

  • You just have to take the same path with the Y-wing I think. If it's not there then I don't know, you might want to try looking it up on GameFAQs

  • @naguleader I love Game FAQs. It is really helpful with the Zelda games.

  • @rhp92k Not exactly. Some special vehicles got names in the Star Wars universe. Like the "Resolute", it was the Republic Gunship of Anakin in the Clone Wars series, then there's "Redemption" which was the medical ship for the Rebels. And let's not forget "Home One" which we all know what THAT was used for....

  • @naguleader just point that TYRIDIUM is the nick name to the lambda class shuttle, like call X-wing to an T-65, so is not a exclusively name of that ship like if it was a capital ship, is just the name of the model

  • its Wookieepedia article doesn't say that, and I've never heard it referred to as "a tydirium"

  • need help to find the advance spread bombs in the night

  • you go into one of the four big tunnels at the academy, it's either the left or right one, but I think it's right for the night time one

  • i miss you.
