  • thanks dude

  • I'm french and i think that is quite good!

  • No he's good: you can say also: au revoir: ow rer vo are!

  • au revior, you pronounced it wrong..

    It's "ah- vuah"

  • Come on people everybody has an accent! There is no official French or English accent

  • you're actually really good ignore the haters :)

  • Hey give the a break,he did a good job.

I don't care if he doesn't have a french accent.

When French folks are learning to speak

English they DON'T HAVE AN ENGLISH

    ACCENT.

  • Fuck I hate english people who try talking french and dont speak it correctly, its an insult to french.

  • I'm english

but it still pisses me off when

english people Pronounce it incorrectly .

    I'm not too good myself,

but i always always work on my accent.

  • OMG!!!! Whats your native language? English?

  • Hey Bud

Keep it up, your accent will get better. It took me years to get the accent down and its still could use a bit of work. Dont pay attention to the haters, practice what you like doing, forget the rest. ;)

  • nice video. Please learn to pronounce the french "R" sound

  • @crystalceline: I have downloaded the basic french course from speedlearninglanguages com yesterday and have listened to the audio course for about 5-6 hours. I can really recommend it. Thank you for the tip.

  • C'est tres vrai.. bud you can't pronounce french for shit.. infact whoever tought you french.. forgot the letter R.... which better be pronounced in french.

Gluck on other languages... this one aint yours bud

  • honestly who'd really wanna learn yr dead language any way!?

  • Is this a joke? It is very important to use a proper accent.

  • Merci!

  • This is French, it is Frenglish :D

  • it's true his accent sounded more english but who cares, i still learned something!

  • am sorry guys but the guy in the video is not native french and he you shouldn't take the pronouncition from non-french guys !!! . His accent doesnt sound like french speakers at all.

  • agreed... the 'r' sound should be improved...

  • hi can u please let us kno what we call goodmorning in good afternoon in french plz???

  • Hi, there is no such thing as good morning in french. We just say "bonjour".

For "good afternoon"... Well, you only say it when you leave someone. It is "bon après-midi". Which means something like "(have a) good afternoon".

If it is late in the afternoon, you can say "bonne fin d'après-midi" (have a good "end of afternoon"). That one is not easy to translate into proper english, but i think you'll understand.

  • Thankkk youuu.

I wanted to say that. xD

  • if u know spanish is way easierr to learn french !

  • Meh, it is o.k. However, I think the brackets are unnecessary. You are going to get pronouncing to others by themselves confused. Also, you should open your mouth more. To speak french properly, you need to do that.

  • do you make private lessons at home cuttie?^^

  • aw your soo cuute

  • shut the fuck up ! -_-" ..personally i really like your video =)..It can help many people who wanna learn french =D!

  • dude are you in houston, i will pay you to tutor me...

  • I'm french and i really like the way you speak xD You're good, very good ;) Continu like that .. I think a lot of people will be able to learn French with you =)

  • i laughed so hard at this part// 2:23

  • Wow. Me, too.

  • You're bad at phonetics :S You should try to imitate the French accent. They don't use that 'r'. French make a velar vibrating sound. You don't pronounce nasal vowels preceding 'n' or 'm' lol and 'u' in French does not sound /u/. It sounds like between a 'i' and a 'u'. It's like pronouncing a lip-rounded /u/.

Baaaaad at phonetics xD What Québéquois there in North America think about this?? lol

  • Sorry. /u/ is always lip-rounded :) I meant a lip-rounded /i/

  • But Quebequois is nooooooot French!

  • Ahah well done :p

  • You forgot to mention that Bonjour is when you are talking to an adult (for kids) or when you are just meeting someone, and Salut is when you are talking to a friend or family member.

  • woi

  • very good

    :)

  • le francais etant ma langue maternelle me donne la permission de dire qu'il fait quand meme tres bien, people dont understand than french is one of the hardest languages to learn. Considering all this, he's doing relatively good

  • im french, and i agree with you!

  • lol

  • French is my mother langage, and I think that your accent is not so bad! Actually, it's kind of cute ^^

  • Forgot to mention, it was the one at the end. And "bonne" is pronounced "bun"

  • bonne nuit*

    Merci pour la leçon française.

Just work on the nasal words more!

  • Ur pronounciation is complete shit. U need to learn ur french a lot better or prob learn it perfectly before u give lessons. Man, people like u will make evryone speaking french like fucking faggs.

  • good try man but honestly your french pronunciation is bad and if you want to teach a language, you must do it well.

  • HAHAHAHA trop bon

  • fuckin faggot who would make a video like this u have no fuckin life hahaha

  • He's more of a man than you'll ever be, and I love him! NOT you! Good bye, diveglia12. Go jump off a cliff until you learn to be a real man!

  • everything he said is correct except one thing.. "A demain" it is not pronounce [ah de mon] the [mon] is not good. its not suppose to be pronounce like "mon" from Monday for exemple. Its suppose to be like the word "Ain't" but without the N and the T...

    But French is really hard!!

You have to lern to pronunciate R and U, and nasals words.

  • no need to hate him guys, im guessing he's a student currently taking french 1 but not a bad idea to spread what've you learned =)

Btw you also get more fluent if you say them and read them frequently as well.

good job on video, improve the vid quality tho

  • speaking french on an american accent?

  • does anyone know a a site that gives free french lessons or even some videos found here in youtube that can help learn french? PLEASE.

  • You truly suck.

You can't speak French at ALL.

  • he does not suck, I'm french and I understand him

  • Of course he can speak French! im also french and i approve everything he said. You cant critic the accent dude!

  • Uh yes u can. His accent is ridiculous. He knows the words but cant pronounce them properly.

  • he's not french you idiot! Of course the pronounciation is not perfect, i dont know if youre french or not but if you arent it would be funny to hear you speaking in french!

  • hey bro i come from quebec. The only french speaking province in canada, let alone north america. So my american friend, go fuk urself.

  • Nice accent try "bon-joo" youll sound more french;)

  • do you speak other language

    besides F?

  • why does people learn french ?

  • Because we can!

  • to dont be a fag like you

  • ur a cutie!

  • Work in your "R" and "U", for some reason it's hard for north americans to pronounce correctly the "R" in both French and Spanish.

  • I speak spanish pretty fluently and I still cannot say my 'r's correctly!! So I know what ya mean. It's irritating.

  • Hi,

I wanted to say that u did a good job with your video.. but there are maybe few things to change that you might like to know...

Actually, most of the time, we use "bye" to say (goodbye) instead of "Salut"... `

And about your "Adieu" ..u should know that this word is never or rarely use ..

    *

    Goodluck :o)

    *

  • you have to work on your french, some of your pronounciation is incorrect, but your heart is in the right place

  • Not bad, but to reiterate what has already been said, you need to work on your Rs :P

  • bro that figgen r man but thats ok

  • Keep practicing buddy... that R is so american....

  • Your pronouciation is tsill quite influenced by your being American! ;-)

  • we learned that salut also means bye

  • I find your french is pretty! In my opinion, I don't really care if people have an accent (an yours is cute ^-^)!! Mos important is we can understand them, and I can tell you... I understand you!!! You did a good job. It's cool you want to help people to learn french. I find it's really kind.

So keep the good job and continue =)

  • Great clarity for beginners, but, rarely do I hear a french-speaking person pronounce "bonsoir" as "bon-swar".

  • I'm a french girl and this lesson are good =)

Your accent is not bad ^^

    Bye

  • your accent is not bad !!! (i'm french lol)

  • Not very bad good job ! You learn french ? Me , I'm belgian ^^

  • Pretty okay if you ask me. Bien joué :)

  • nice man lol :D

  • hé hé!... good video!

  • Merci pour ce petit cours. Sympathique :D

  • you dont have the french accent but it s good

  • make more pleasee.!!

  • thank you very muchh your awesome.!!

    merci.!!

  • The French doesn't put much emphasis on the "r" sound. When you say "bonsoir" it really bugs me. Although you will be understood, it's the common American pronunciation mistake.

  • dude u r funny! hahahah

    5 star!

  • this is great thankyou- my partner is french and this really helps to learn the basics x

  • bien!

So thank u for your french lessons and good luke!

  • Good work, but it's "Bonne nuit" and not "Bon nuit" cuz in french you have to use Gender for everything.

Bon=masculine and Bonne=feminine in french the night is Feminine :-)

  • Good job ^^

  • You have a cute accent ;-)

  • Bravo mec ! ça m'a plu. Funny, isn't it ?

  • Mdrr J'adore ^^

    I lovee !!!!

    Leslie pas mal

    It's verry ... strange ?

    I speak a little english sorry =)

  • hey like the music Ima big fan of Leslie and nice vid lol!!!!!

  • oui, c'est pas mal pour quelqu'un qui ne parle pas couramment français, at least there are no spelling mistakes

  • Learning lots from you! Keep up the good work!!
