I really don't think the best belly dancers are from Turkey. Belly dancing is so popular and spread throughout the world, you can't make a generalization like that.
Lebanese & Turkish belly dancers generally wear high heels. Egyptians mostly don't, though some Egyptian teachers, like Farida Fahmy, insist all dancers should wear shoes.

Yes, I saw her in person...not...good. At least in this video she didn't do the "blatant boob adjustment" as in...check out my investments. I was very sad seeing this dancer.

Lebanese & Turkish belly dancers generally wear high heels. Egyptians mostly don't, though some Egyptian teachers, like Farida Fahmy, insist all dancers should wear shoes.
