As of this moring Carrick will not be attending Duke. He never did officially sign. I've read 2 reports that say his academics held him back and another saying it was a personal choice (maybe since Singler is returning). ESPN reports that since Washington lost out on Terrence Jones and Carrick's former teammate is going there that they are a possibility along with Arizona State and a few others.

Yeah man UNC was hot shit this past year. Oh wait, no you guys weren't... I keep forgetting. You guys once again have a strong recruiting class but so does Duke. Barnes is a very good player but so is Irving and Hairston. You guys also landed Bullock who is a great player as well and Marshall. But we also have Felix, Curry, and Thornton who are all ranked very highly. Also, if Williams does as great of a coaching job next year as he did this year don't expect to reach the NCAA tournament.

JUCO transfers do not have to wait a year before playing in the NCAA. Felix will play in 2010-2011.

Quite frankly, I am happy to FINALLY see Coach K step out of his Silver Spoon bred pedigree program.

Not since, Avery Brooks, Corey Maggette, and Elton Brand has there been an athletic Duke team that I actually identified with.

I've been thinking the same thing. I haven't checked lately but I know before he was recruiting Carrick he was also looking at two other SF. If Singler stays Duke will be so good next year! Let's cross our fingers on that one.
