Actually their name has been The Offspring ever since their first album. The only album that listed them as Offspring was Smash. I agree with you though, everything past Americana just doesn't have the same rawness to it. That's what happens when a band gets rich and has nothing left to complain about.

This is what I grew up listening too, but I was born in 93...nice to know my parents kept it alive with me!!! Then my boyfriend was born in 85, so he came right along with things....thank god he is getting into "new" bands from back then. Wish I grew up in the 80's, really one of the top generations to be in. But not this generation, now and these days people are into the main stream crap. Fake and has no taste, Im lucky cause I am one of the ones to escape before things got too late for me :)

The Offspring is awesome! I've been listening to them since I was 10 (yes, I was a very weird kid), but they're my favorite band. And as some have said before, lyrics are "dog eat dog". I don't know why it isn't on greatest hits. I got that a few years ago, yet I got Smash recently. Then I wondered about that! But it's weird how on the offspring vevo, they don't look up lyrics before attempting to censor. They bleaked out the word chick in She's Got Issues! They should really look up the lyrics!
Watch the fucking video for mota and you'll see what I mean. The song is about marijuana, not "drugs" in general. And it IS about getting high. And it's a very nice song to blaze to. And yes, the wrong drugs will fuck you up, which is why marijuana is good, because it won't mess your life up and will keep you occupied and away from the bad shit, as well as being a proven medicinal cure for several health problems.
Sick song from an incredible album. If this was a single, I could picture it being more successful than the "Gotta Get Away" single, which wasn't too special. Gotta Get Away, in fact, was the lowest point of the entire album except for the long pause in "Smash".

all this corruption, and are seemingly and admittedly to damn busy to fight the system or change it a bit for the better. While our generation is almost done with our bachelors and degrees, and will get into high position offices, we can kick out all the money hungry libs and power hungry repubs and just live a normal fucking life for awhile. But the powers that be see this and are turning us against each other, sending us to die, and enjoying it while it lasts.They see their time coming :)

The Offspring is awesome! I've been listening to them since I was 10 (yes, I was a very weird kid), but they're my favorite band. And as some have said before, lyrics are "dog eat dog". I don't know why it isn't on greatest hits. I got that a few years ago, yet I got Smash recently. Then I wondered about that! But it's weird how on the offspring vevo, they don't look up lyrics before attempting to censor. They bleaked out the word chick in She's Got Issues! They should really look up the lyrics!

Watch the fucking video for mota and you'll see what I mean. The song is about marijuana, not "drugs" in general. And it IS about getting high. And it's a very nice song to blaze to. And yes, the wrong drugs will fuck you up, which is why marijuana is good, because it won't mess your life up and will keep you occupied and away from the bad shit, as well as being a proven medicinal cure for several health problems.

Sick song from an incredible album. If this was a single, I could picture it being more successful than the "Gotta Get Away" single, which wasn't too special. Gotta Get Away, in fact, was the lowest point of the entire album except for the long pause in "Smash".
