@VietnamAirForce - The Migs are Mig-15s, the jets with the external wingtip tanks are the F-84G models. They did look a lot like the P-80 or T-33 trainer. My dad worked on them for quite awhile in the late 50's during and after Korea. He was stationed at LUKE AFB in Arizona. In fact in 1971 he sold me his 61 Mercury and he had installed a T-33 utility light in the engine for me, so cool.

That was Vietnam, not Korea which was some 15 years prior. The 23mm cannons and the 37mm cannon on the Mig-15 are a lot throatier, they have a considerably deeper pitch to them when fired. Great looking vid though.

It's a game called IL2 Sturmovik. It is the best WWII sim/game ever made. The game is 10 years old and still going strong. Look for a game called Storm of War (another WWII sim) also. It's made by the same people with the same painstaking accuracy. If you want to feel like you're flying a WWII plane. Buy IL2 (it's only $9) download UP 2.01 (the mods) download Hyperlobby and join in on the fun!

Very well done. I might have disagreed with the use of some of the vegatation as with the American base-it is Korea, after all, right? The take off with the F-86's was also implausible, even to the uninitiated in aeronautics. With more experience, you will certainly be a master!

simply amazing ,great but the engine sounds in the first part of the video were a bit loud and it left you at a cliffhanger at the end. Otherwise I thought that was the best

il-2 video ive ever seen!! Although AAA is really badly managed and it crashes my computer every time. Great effects but I wouldnt get the camera to close to the cheese il-2 explosions.

Did you spot the palm trees around the airffield? It is more like in New Guinea or Guadalcanal.... Korea is pretty cold in winter, so there should not be so many palm trees there. However, it does not spoil the overall impression of the movie much.

Superb Movie! Looking forward to the "full" movie version.

I think the "Boots are..walking" song by Nancy set just the perfect mood. It matters not a single whit whether it is historically matched to the period of the Korean War. Very few IL2 movies use Period Music, such as the Big Band sounds of the 30's and 40's.

Feck me! That was stunning! Between the maps, aircraft, skins and post effects that is one of the most realistic IL2 movies ever.

My favourite parts were actually the take off scenes, particularly at the US base. As someone said, the music is straight from Vietnam but it sure did create atmosphere. The unexpected way you began the attack sequence was original.
