I perfer the 60s specials myself Patty Violet and Shermy were still major charaters. I perfer them to Peppermint Patty, Marie and Franklin.

I prefer the earlier specials (60s-70s) because of the music and stories. I actually liked all of the kids, even the lesser known ones myself.

One of my favorite scenes of Snoopy of all time! This is from Charlie Brown All-Stars. (1966) Although the animation is inferior I still prefer the 1960's Charlie Brown shows to the later ones. I even like Vince Guaraldi's music better than his 70's music. Thanks for posting!

I like the 80s specials better than the 60s specials. They weren't so political like the 60s specials. Better yet they of course had better animation and Lucy would get along a little better because Violet and Patty were used less. And the Peanuts gang would sense feelings for one another.

I'm curious. How are the 60's specials political? I like some of the specials from the 70's as well, but I am probably bias because I like the strip better in the 60's than the 70's. The content and even Schultz' artwork was better in the 60's IMHO.

Will it seems kind of vague but I guess it's because the characters would talk more serious and use "politically correct" terms. In the 80s specials it wasn't so much like that. Don't I don't think the 60s specials are terrible. I just like the 80s ones a little better. I do like It Was a Short Summer Charlie Brown from 1969. Also a few of the 80s specials weren't that great. Last but not least I thought Lucy Must Be Traded Charlie Brown from 2003 was horrible.
