In Melee, Kirby always dies second during a Swallowcide. If you time it right, Kirby can survive succesful Swallowcides. Difficulty depends on the size of his opponent (Bowser is easy, Pichu is near impossible).
Jigglypuff, another Kirby, and Pichu are all Zero-framers (they die less then a frame before Kirby). But it has been shown that Kirby can SD-cancel even them (not really reliable due to STRICT timing).

Actually, I think Pichu IS impossible. While Kirby never dies first. There are some characters who he ties with, and they die at the same time.
