@MrsKatmus Mack Wilberg really knows how to make a moving arrangement. All his Tabernacle arrangements overwhelm me emotionally and the performance here doesn't hurt either.
hey watch out ! mormonism is a very sneaky and decieving cult and they are not biblicle christains the book of mormon is in direct conflict to the bible they are worshiping a faulse jesus and are leading many to there eternal damnation to hell. some of them are very nice but very well skamed out. check out way of the master mormonism that will show you more the teachings of joseph smith cant save only the finished work of jesus christ on the cross repent turn from sin and trust in christ alone
You know... I had the opportunity to play this version this past christmas. 3:17 when the composer changed the song's progression, I felt a lot smaller! Love this rendition.

No one, and I mean no one, can even come close to performing Christmas hymns with the beauty, dignity, and reverence of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. They are truly magnificent and a great gift to us all.
@yeslatinicita no they dont hire. they dont get paid for this either. This is all volunteer work but you could go watch them in concert. They are phenominal!
This is the perfect example of how people coming together for a common goal can achieve something MUCH bigger than themselves. How so many people can sing together so beautifully is surreal and inspiring. Just wow.
My piano teacher used to tell me that the most beautiful instrument in the world is the human voice. Nothing could be more true. This is the most moving rendition of this Christmas carol I have ever heard. Thanks for posting.
Been looking for some good videos of Christmas music, this has to be one of the bests so far. Quality of both the sound and visual are both well done, along with the choir itself. Just Beautiful. What an amazing organ too.
It sure would be nice to hear some OTHER people's arrangement's other then Mack Wilberg's ALL THE TIME.There is TOO much Wilberg and I DO like his stuff but he needs to understand that there are other arrangement's of carols that are very nice.
@ATLKapellmeister I would tend to believe that Mack does what he feels he is inspired to do. Though I would agree with you that a change is as good as a rest ;-)
This is my favorite recording of the Tabernacle Choir singing this song, excellent! You can really feel the true spirit of Christmas with this piece. Wonderful recording. Thankyou for posting this one.
Simply inspirational--such a powerful arrangement. I'm already 50 of the 82,836 views. Thank you for posting!

In the Mormon version of this song, there's really no need to travel all the way to Bethlehem to visit Christ.
Afghamistam 4 months ago
@Afghamistam It's to witness his birth. Even in the Mormon faith Christ was born in Bethlehem
