I was so young when the Roxy was happening that I only got to go a handful of times. The nights I did were so excellent. I even got to play there when I was 14.
Good chance I was there that night,pogoing and slam dancing til I was drenched in sweat. Drink and Drop Thursdays were fun. Fake IDs are magic. It was amazing while it lasted. The scene turned to shit soon thereafter, IMO. There was a big difference between pre 1981 and post 1981. I really didn't like post. A matter of personal taste, maybe.

This is circa 1979 at the Roxy. The video doesn't do them justice. An amazing band that inspired every SLC punk band that followed.
