Definitely similarities, but I see many differences. "Everything" is more about the pure story of the Gospel. This is about someone who is already a Christian but has to decide to give up everything that used to matter in order to follow Jesus with her whole heart. (Notice the bondage that happened when she allowed herself to be gripped by FEAR.) The things of life are grabbing at her, but the love between her and Jesus is stronger than their allure, and she'll press on to seek only him.
