$100/month (taxable!) buys less than 1 morning/week of childcare in Ontario. To say it has anything to do with "helping" parents or giving parents a "choice" of childcare is just ridiculous. It's spin.  To say the money could be better spent is only the truth. Either it should be put toward a real childcare program that actually helps parents or it might as well be put toward something else. For anyone who really needs it for childcare, it's just a drop in the bucket anyway.
