Freeline skates hardly compare to skateboarding.. It's a much different sport.. its about as similar to skateboarding, as surfing

I love skateboarding. But Freeline is way different. For one, no board. Two, independent feet allows for self propulsion. And Three, it is a new discipline that will allow for the progression of skaters, snowboarders, and surfers alike. Dont knock what you have not tried for yourself. Once you ride them, I am sure you will change your tune. The experience is incredible going downhill!
