Is this the closest game to symphony of the night? Thats my favorite game but I've beat it so many times I'd like another game like it to beat before I play Sotn again first..
I wish they released an English version as well, or at least included an option for subtitles so we knew what the hell was going on. If I wanted to play the game in Japanese and not have a clue what the story was, I'd just get an emulator & rom.
Interesting how they didn't translate it, like the PSP version of the game. It's a straight port of the Japanese game...except that the into is actually not the original voice actor. I have the original game, and the voice here is from the PSP port. Must have had to do with the copyright laws or something.
Is the new German voice really from the psp version? It's not bad I guess but I really liked the original. I'm glad they kept everything else intact. I almost broke down and bought a PSP when it this game was released but I thought that version was much too different.

so is there an almost 1" thick black border around the screen when you play this too? I just bought it last night and I was a little pissed there is an annoying black border all the way around the screen...I didn't know if it was because I am playing on an HDTV or what but I can't get it to go away
That is probably there so the aspect ratio remains in line with what it is supposed to look like. If it doesn't, then the pixels look skewed and the graphics don't look all to good.
well, the point of the virtual console is to emulate the original as closely as possible, so that's why games that weren't released stateside will a lot of times be released here in their original form.
They might have caught a translation goof (into Japanese - the text when he speaks) or the copywright's for the voice actor wouldn't transfer over into the states, so they had to hire somebody new to redo the line.
It's a "foreign" Virtual Console title, so it's bumped up to 900 Wii points. I, personally, just used the other half of the Wii points card I used to get Adventure Rebirth.

Must be, as Konami ran into the exact same problem with X-Men Arcade, having to redub all the lines for its XBLA/PSN release.

what kind of sd card do you use? my system memory is full and i want this game now! are all brands compatible?

I use a 2GB PNY Optima SD card.
As long as it says SD, it should be, but it would be best to check online to find out for sure.

@gradius55 All sd cards work. You have probably updated your wii in march last year and the wii supports SDHC cards too so it supports all sd cards.

Actually its the one from the PSP Dracula X Chronicles version.
As for reasons, probably done for shits and giggles. Funny how it sounds so clear compared to the other voices.
