on mine i just insert the pick at a angel with tenchion on the pick and it opens no tenchion rench needed.

i suggest you dont do that lol, that can and will break you pick. thats what a tension wrench is for anyways.

Yes... I don't believe it's impossible to do so with a specifically shaped pick... but It ain't wise to do so BECAUSE it might break.
