ah yes! loved this ship! we were on it Feb 2010. beautiful ship. a bit cold until we reached the islands, then it was perfect, cold on the way back. kids LOVED the waterworks play area. plenty of pools onboard.
complaint: RIDICULOUS lines for hamburgers and sandwiches. could never stand to wait in them so ordered via room service. they did a chinese buffet one day, and the line was out the doors, didn't wait for that, either.
been on the 'Elation'. doesn't compare to the 'Dream'!
@ballstothewall24 funny you should ask that question...i just got off the freedom on sunday. i've been on the freedom 3 times so far and it is a nice ship. personally after being on the dream last year and then going on the freedom right after i would have to say i liked the dream class layout a lot better. the dream had more open deck space, the promenade was larger and had more areas to sit and chat/people watch. i feel the cabins were slightly larger. im not sure there are any cons.
I just got back from a Carnival Dream vacation. Let's just say it was the best thing I've ever done. The food was delicious, the staff was wonderful. Definitely worth every dime. LOVED it :)

It was beautiful and very, very clean. However, there was a faint smell of sewage that would waft on occasion in the front near the auditorium. It was strange...not all the time and not intense. There was a restroom there that was also clean but may have had a problem with the ventilation system in that one spot. It was otherwise quite lovely and exceptionally and meticulously clean.
i was on it jan 2-9 and we hit a cold snap in Florida when we left so it was chilly when we were in nassau. the first fun day it was raining and then once we were in st thomas it was warm. it was windy the last 2 fun days so the slides were closed. i'd say the best times are when you are in port but they were always closed when we got back to the ship around 5pm.
i'm 26 so obviously i wasn't involved in those activities. but walking by club o2 some nights there were always kids in there hanging out and having a fun time. the first day we walked in to check it out and its a very cool space.
the dream is my favorite ship so far out of the 12 carnival cruises i've been on. the food was fantastic...no complaints there!
I cries leaving the fascination, no boys at school bothering me! I was so calm my face stopped turning red after the first 3 hours on the ship :(

All Carnival ships are very clean well the ones that i've been on 6 of them them and im only 14 . I LOVE CARNIVAL.!!

I just got back from a Carnival Dream vacation. Let's just say it was the best thing I've ever done. The food was delicious, the staff was wonderful. Definitely worth every dime. LOVED it :)
