  • what a stupid looking sock...............

  • Hey guys, I just got this pedal and plugged it in and When it's turned on I get no sound out of my amp at all. When it's turned off I get sound normally. Anyone know what's up? Help please!

  • Mt massa o video cara!!Gostaria que me esclarecesse uma dúvida: Tem como desligar o pedal ou quando vc n ta tocando ele fica no auto-wah?

  • haha dude's got it hooked through the same distortion pedal as me to XD

  • nice

  • planet waves wire aye.. i got the same haha cheers

  • To people saying it shouldn't be clicking... Yes, it is supposed to click like that. He's constantly turning it on and off, that or almost turning it on and off. It'll make that sound with every stompbox/pedal that you use, try turning it on without having it click

  • Ha! im getting that boss pedal and that crybaby in a few days!

  • what's that noise everythime you heel the pedal back??????

  • yeah it shouldnt be making that clicking noise

  • hey is what your BOSS ds-1 settings please i need it.....

  • lol funny socks but great playing

  • was there a hint of civil war in that with some improv added ... nice playin and socks

  • @Michaelslash09 Actually I'm pretty sure it was Patience he was playing...unless he did both and I just missed it.

  • @duosonic21

nah civil war came in with the overdrive and paitence was in a clean tone

  • is it normal for when your'e done playing it and you (switch to another pedal for example) after you click the toe to move it back and forward to click the toe again?

  • whats the diff between classic and this one? I want one that can get the same wah as GnR,Jimi Hendrix and Metallica

  • playing patience at 1:15 xDD

  • @1MrSlash1 And playing civil war at 1:55

  • ooh please turn on the BOSS distortion!! i wanna ear it!!! =D

  • i want that pedal

  • hey man should i get an Enveloper filter and run it with this?

  • awesome

  • im getting this pedal soon

  • how to switch from clean to distortion.?

  • @sosawsoon right next to the wah is a Boss DS-1 Distortion pedal.

  • i was about to buy this pedal when i started researching it further and found out about the whole tone sucking thing....however, i dont understand what is meant by the tone getting sucked.....does it have somthing to do with the pedal not being true bypass? plz help

  • your socks stinks ahah kidding

    Nice demo dude

  • love the Patience part. cool video, you are pretty awesome with wah.

  • good enough to play the Shaft Theme, good enough for me. And you need some OVERDRIVE

  • If its good enough for hendrix and clapton its good enough for me

  • GNR FTW! I noticed Patience and Civil War

  • now THATS how you use the pedal!

    nice job :D

  • can someone tell me a wah pedal that works good to play with drive (like tom morello)

  • This is a great pedal for tom morello stuff.. it doesnt really matter i think any pedal will work for his sound

  • he just uses a standard crybaby

  • sounds voiced to high for hendrix, not enough mid to low freqcy!

  • how is this pedal? i ordered mine earlier this week for my bday, and it hasnt came in yet?

  • can you use distortion with this pedal? cause my friend has one and he said its only for clean..

  • if ud watch the whole thing he uses it with distortion. so does the great dimebag darrell

  • @xXxcreepingdethxXx let's not forget Zakk and Kirk too. both have wah-syndrome!

  • its ok wit distortion if u use a distortion pedal it messes up tha volume when u dont step on the pedal and just leave tha wax pedal all tha way up but when u press it all tha way dow it gets real loud. if your lookin for a good pedal thats made for distortion definitly go wit zakk wyldes or evh wah pedal there amazing

  • or dimebag's distortion 1 u can get a variety of different sounds

  • watch rage against the machine - bulls on parade. the guitarist in the band tom morello has drive and plays with crybaby wah

  • how can i convince my dad this isnt as good as the evh cry baby cause he thinks im wasting an extra £100 on a paint job???

  • Check out the proguitarshop demos. They sound a lot different. They have a great selection of wahs and other stuff.

  • tell your dad that the evh wah has a more vocal-like High Q inductor and a wider frequency sweep. Also with the Evh the mid-range is much more defined than the original cry baby and the low-end sweep is increased. Believe me, the EVH wah is much more than an original cry baby with a different paint job

  • @harrymessi dude the first bad horsie pedal is so much better than both combined

  • @harrymessi actually you are wasting an extra £100

  • @harrymessi get the cry baby and use the extra 100 for a blow job.u cant lose

  • @harrymessi tell him he is a twat and beat the shit out of him, then plug the wah in to his ass and smash the guitar over his head! that should do the trick, let me know how it goes

  • yeah id have to agree this is more of an intense wah than my vox...my first wah was a dunlop and its cheaper too

  • Rocking out with your socks out!!!!!!!!!!! nice..This proves that Im not the only one that does that.

  • @djkozmik of course you're not, who the hell would be like; lets play the wah, first put on some shoes!

  • that has a powerful wah sound...my vox seems weaker than that..the first wah i ever had when i was 13 was a dunlop Jimi Hendrix wah and think i remember that being like yours...i wonder why my vox isnt as powerful?

  • because its vox

  • Cause, Dunlop makes some of the most badass fucking wah pedals in the universe.

  • Very nice Socks !!!

  • im just wondering, why does it click when u play it?

  • Its just the potentiometer moving up and down. At any decent volume you won't be able to hear this, and it doesn't come through the amp.

  • @weirdotis Yeah, it's going down, but not fully pressed, that's why there is a little noise...

  • @adris8 - It's the pedal hitting gently off the metal switch. Most Wah pedals do this, but if you get the GCB95(Q) series it turns on and off when you put your foot on it's surface, or take it off!!!

That pedal would be handier I suppose and you wouldn't have that clicking sound, but playing loudly...you wouldn't hear it anyway!!!

    Matt.

  • Ueeei cannellone cerca di tenere a freno gli impulsi dei tuoi gobetti frizzanti!

  • my crybaby broke on me :(

  • Great socks!

  • The Vox Wah is better!

  • man i really like the tone of this pedal. too bad it sucks tone out of your guitar and makes you loose your signal

  • It's just as bad as true bypass. A buffered bypass (like on this pedal) actually pushes your signal as it goes through the pedal. If you have true bypass, it's like having a long cable, which also eats your top end. It really doesn't matter as long as you like the pedal.

  • i got mine yesterday it rules.... and for a pretty cheap pedal its really good

  • Comment removed

  • YES! You won't regret it, but try out some other Crybaby's while you''re at it... they make a lot of different kinds.

  • hello, today i got the dunlop cry baby wah. directly after i puted in the 9 volt battery. i plugd my guitar in and played (im using a squier stratocoaster classic vibe 60' and a line6 spider3 15w amp). but i have two problems: the wah is working fine but when i play on clean and i press down the wah pedal (the aaa sound ) its sounds really hard and if i turn on the volume its hurts my ears.

  • I have the same problem. On my clean setting when I press down all the way it makes the treble go real high

  • my ohter problem is when i put on distortion an overdrive and i tap (van halen style) and i push my wah open (the whhh sound) i almost can't hear the notes

its maybe hard to understand because engish is not my langauge but i just wanted to know wats going on and except for those two little problems its a very fine pedal

  • how much is this , is this a good pedal, some people say it breaks easily

  • Sould be around $70. This pedal is built like a tank... I doubt dropping it out of a window would break it.

  • Hey, I've got a question. I switvhed my DS-2 Turbo distortion to DS-1 mode and put the distortion all the way down. When I play with my distortion the wah pedal barely effects the sound if any at all. Do you know what's wrong?

  • awesome sound! I like the distortion part

  • You really like Guns N Roses don't you? :) well done

  • oh, thanks dude for posting this video, i was in the store the other say questioning if i should get this wah pedal(they didnt let me test it! lol) now i know im getting it... its awesome!

  • the beginning sounds like gravity, john mayer.

  • That's because it is haha... I'm a big JM fan.

  • where did you get the socks ? free with the wah???

  • I believe they are from Walmart, and unfortunately, not free. I figure people would rather look at the socks, not my feet.

  • I NEED HELP! im thinking of buying either or wah pedel or a whammy pedel, please messege me on your opinion anyone who has played either of them, my playing style is rage against the machine/ RHCP/ audioslave/

  • Thats to completely different things.

  • Get a wah, you can use it for all sorts of stuff. Whammy's more like a fun toy, unless you only play RATM/Audioslave/Satch stuff

  • Whammy pedals are kinda like jokes lol no guitarist would go without a wah lol

  • how are whammy pedals jokes?? loads of famous guitarists use them, jack white, tom morello, steve vai, joe satriani, the edge, jimmi page, dimebag darrell, kirk hammett and john frusciante,,, they wouldnt use them if they were jokes,, okay i admit, no guitarist would go without a wah but still...

  • No im saying that it is not essential like before you get a whammy u should get a wah

  • Can u help me. Something is wrong with my Wah Pedal, it doesnt work it just making an squezing sound and I can't do anything with it

    any tips?

  • Try a different lead, i have found that i can only use leads that have 1 black line on them, hope this helps ya!

  • nice socks

  • what guitar are you using, sounds like a les paul

  • I was looking at getting a wah and a distortion pedal would you recommend getting the two ur using?

  • it is an expression pedal??

  • no, just a wah

  • i agree i just bought a 1970 crybaby with the tdk indicator it has a warm creamy sound the new one sounds cold and digital

  • how would you compare this to the classic crybaby?

  • The classic has a fasel inductor (I think) for more vintagey tone. This is a great wah for versatility, but if you want an extremely classic-voiced wah, I'd go for the classic. Thanks for watching :)

  • np 5 stars

  • and if you want a really flexible sounding wah get the 95Q it has a q control ( the intenseness of the wah ) so you can get a classic and a newer sounding wah but it isnt as classic as the originall

  • I always put my distortion, overdrive or fuzz in FRONT of my wah pedal... because I can't get it to sound good if I put the wah in front of the distortion... But that makes the distorion a little less agressive.

  • I agree, both are very common ways of doing it, this is just the order that works best for me. I rarely use the DS-1 anymore (until I get it modded by Keeley), so that's not a problem.

  • My amp keeps picking up the sound of the pick hitting the string, not just the note, what do i do?

  • turn your amp up louder, trust.

  • for metal solos with much distortion is this pedal recomended?

  • The more distortion you use the less wah you hear. Maybe try a Morley or something along those lines.

  • check out the zakk wylde crybaby for metal

  • Thanks now i dont need to use 100 € more to get the slash wah instead the gcb-95

  • Is this one better than the slash wah?

  • Noooo, Slash wah has adjustable gain boost and a much better inductor.

  • I liked hearing Civil War in here, thanks.

  • it defo done it for me lol

  • so would u recomend this pedal or the weeping demon wah

  • Depends what you like... Crybaby has more classic tones, the weeping demon has a lot more flexibility and setting if you like to tweak your wah sound.

  • well kinda like a disturbed hard rock tone

  • hmmm... I'd go with the crybaby, but you should play both before you buy one

  • k thanks

  • how much would this cost in canadian dollars? i am willing to buy one but im not sure how much the price is.. and im really scared if its like 119 like a wylde pedal or slash pedal please reply back

  • not sure... google canadian currency converters ir something like that and you'll probably get a good answer.

  • 125ish CAD

  • thats the the price of a slash pedal

  • i counted mine tax included.. damn taxes.

  • how much does the one u used cost?

  • I got this a while ago... but you can probably pick one up for around $70.

  • i heard Wanted Dead or Alive in there

  • and civil war :D

  • civil war's practically the reason i want a wah

  • Slash at his absolute best.

  • now that i watch this again this kind of looks dirty the way you take advantage of that pedal like that

    lol

    the music helps too

  • lol thanks man

  • Good demo. Thanks. Amazing playing.

  • Thanks for watching!

  • Lol today i bought this pedal. I love it. Thanks. Ur vid and a few others convinced me.

  • haha tabs...

  • lol i laughed nice one!

  • its just retarded someone would ask for tabs on something like this haha

its so easy to improvise like this after a while

    whata noob xD

  • nice... just saying that jimi hendrix used an original(standard) crybaby the only thing his custom one does is add the fuzz but however you like it i guess.

  • Right, that was before Crybabies were made by Dunlop, the vintage ones were made by Thomas Organ. I think there are 2 Hendrix models, one w/ fuzz and one w/o fuzz

  • is this the jimi hendrix pedal or just a crybaby?

  • just a standard crybaby

  • should i get the zakk wylde wah or the dunlop crybaby origanal?

  • at the beggining you're Buddy Guy haha...

    great demostration =D

  • haha thanks, Buddy Guy for the win!

  • bitcheess this is ummm....... tom morello's fukinn wah pedal!!!

  • Yes he used dunlop crybaby, but i believe his was made in 80s.

  • send me the tabs u were playing

  • I don't use tabs... everything was figured out by ear.

  • hey im getting this wah soon maybe, but i see 2 wires coming from the wah whats that about could someone explane thnx

  • One is obviously the cabble connecting it to the DS1, the other is a power cable going into a wall adapter.

  • holy shit, i want one of these so bad, how much does it cost?

  • I think you can get one of these for around $60, but I would recommend getting a Fulltone Clyde Standard Wah (around $215) or a Crybaby Classic (around $100 I believe). Both of them sound much better than this wah, due to the quality of the pots used.

  • yea, i was also looking at the classic, that looked pretty sweet too, the fulltone clyde standards a little pricey for me though lol. thx for the advice :)

  • patience!doesnt deserved to be raped by the wah but still

  • Yeah, I just decided to show how it would work with chords. I apologize to Slash :)

  • You should probally apologize to izzy...Since slash did dick on patience. But you did a fantastic job on civil war

  • Yeah, izzy was the man. thanks for watching!

  • Jimi Hendrix! That's what I like to hear!

  • I have the same pedal AND the same plug thats on (my)left

  • I like the way that sounds in the beginning its has a blue with a psyschedelic sound. I have one Too I love It!!!

  • Guns 'n Roses Rock dude!

  • whats with the constant clicking noise?

  • its the treadle moving on the potentiometer. Doesn't come thru the amp but you can hear it at low volumes.

  • how do u get the wah to sound so full with the ds-1? I have the same 2 pedels and my wah is barely coming through the distortion.

  • yeah, the key is to run the distortion low, and use a OD pedal in front of it to boost it. Once you turn the DS1 up, barely any wah gets through.

  • what kind of overdrive are you using?

  • The distortion is thru the amp, but the overdrive is via a DS-1 with the distortion all the way down.

  • that sounds really great man!! I got that same Boss pedal and pretty soon ill be gettin a wah pedal. But how much was that lil tiny chord connecting the wah and distortion? I wouldnt think it would be too much

  • patch cords are like five bucks at guitar center

  • im confused is this the origional cry baby or what? because im looking for the best wah pedal i can get thats not a lotta money

  • This is the crybaby GCB-95 wah, the most common probably. If you are looking for the best you can get, I would reccommend ordering a wah from Robert Keeley,or a Teese RMC wah.

  • my crybaby doesnt turn off. it clicks down and i hear it click but it stays on and wahs when i bring the pedal back up. any ideas whats up with it?

  • make sure you press down really hard... sometimes I hear the click and it doesn't turn off. just make sure you put enough pressure on it
