My wife is in a wheel chair due to muscular dystrophy and with a walker can walk, but she isn't crippled. Sorry to state the obvious, but I think people were paying more attention to the words "prostitute" and "nun" than the actions being taken. I bet you most of the people who watch this video are slapping their foreheads and feeling a tad bit stupid for having overlooked that detail, perhaps they might even feel guilty.

I think you hit the nail of the head halfway through this video; the reason why so many people choose the nun is because people tend to automatically judge others based on their 'worth' in a society.
A nun is seldom ever held in negative light. Sex workers however are seen as sexual deviants and 'whores'. Because of this negative portrayal people automatically assume their life is less valuable.

I'm shocked that someone would consider the nun a worse offense. You cripple someone you are taking away an ability that they have grown to take for granted (as crippling doesn't necessarily mean the legs). My wife is in a wheel chair due to muscular dystrophy and with a walker can walk, but she isn't crippled. She is in a chair because the planned ahead and did a medical procedure that backfired and left her in the chair.

Prostitution isn't just about the sex. There's a difference between "getting laid" and "not being able to get laid, so I have to pay someone". Prostitution is about making money by selling one's body, which is degrading to oneself(you can't put a price on human life). Besides, who do prostitutes help? Pimps and desperate losers. Who do nuns help? Anybody(they'll even help prostitutes).
To answer Blunty's question, I think that crippling someone is worse than punching someone in the face.

Nuns do charity for underpriviledged people that most other people ignore. Nuns can be teachers, or nurses. Nuns run homeless shelters and soup kitchens to help less fortunate people.

If you asked if it was more offensive to break both legs of a prostitute with a hammer, I would have instantly concluded that it was more offensive to break a prostitute's legs.
