Nobody sacrificed like Mick and his fued with Taker was my favorite. He cared so much about the fans and regardless of his physique, did many things alot of bodybuilder types, wouldn't. Such a kind human being and one of the best at promos. If there's a god, Foley's him.

Exactly, the reason Jannetty failed and Michaels succeeded was because Michaels completely changed his image and persona, he dropped the Rockers completely and created the "sexy boy" persona, and became totally different. While Jannetty tried to stay the same, even when he came back to the WWE in 1996 he had the same music and the same costume etc. Thats why he failed as a singles wrestler. The fans just wernt buying it anymore.

@noveltybobel I thought that match Jannetty had with Kurt Angle around that time (I think it was on raw angle wanted to do what Shawn had done to set up their feud) was an incredibly good match though. I agree with your point for sure but I am surprised after him and Kurt tore the house down they didn't give him more of a shot.

@landrykkb Jerry's success was all outside of the WWE so it's hard for people to see what he achieved and respect him for it, that and his work on the mic since the end of the attitude era has been pretty average at best.

noone can deny though, Jerry is the most decorated champion of all time, which seems bizarre. somewhere around 150 titles in his career. Wowsers!!!

HBK definately a True Overachiever, I never thought he'd ever win the World Title when he first went on his own, but I remember loving his new gimmick when he went solo, so I guess WWF saw this in him too.

Quite frankly, guys like he and Bret benefited around that time from the steroid trial back then, cuz Vince went with smaller guys a little more, which really gave those guys a chance to shine as main eventers.
