Empire B-30 miniature steam engine (slow speed)

Beautiful!  Runs very nice and smooth. I have the same model Empire. My dad's father bought it new for him when he was a boy, he would be 91 now. Mine's very clean and shiny, but has enough wear to ooze water from the piston when running. It's displayed now in a small custom wood and glass case (to keep the cat away).

do u know where to find a new whistle? i have have everything and it still works except the whistle.

Wow great engine, it looks beautiful my great grandfather has one exactly like that one except this one has a spoked flywheel instead of his which has a solid flywheel.

The solid flywheel type are even older than this one and may have a different brand name on it as Metal Ware Co. (maker of Empire's) started out with several different names including "Harvey". It is neat your grandfather has one, they are built like a tank!

No, it is an Empire model B-30 Horizontal with cast iron base...very stout American built engine from the 1920's...Wilesco is German and builds lighter weight stuff.
