  • Before this film came out I equated Minnesota with the feeling I get when opening my freezer door and I never cared for that much. I was in jail there once and the matron of the jail served me a bologna sandwich with butter on it. I had never seen anyone use butter like a spread on a sandwich before. That's about the most I remember about it. I did find their accents endearing though and apparently the coen brothers do as well.

  • you guys gettin your shorts in a bind because the movie has these crazy accents just kills me. lighten up! it's just a movie. the producers needed something to give the movie a regional feel so they over-did it with the accents. actually the women talking like they do is real cute...the girls in the bar and especially marge. if you go all aroung the USA you will hear different accents all over. thats not unique to the USA, it happens all over the world,

  • @repetitivemotion I agree with you on that one. I am from Boston and the movie "Once Around" with Danny Aeillo, Holly Hunter and Richard Dreyfuss took our accents a little far. Just comic effect, yet folks get their panties in a bunch.

  • I'm from Australia and these accents sound like your normal accents to me. The only American accent that stands out for me is the southern one.

  • You notice how 99.9% of the people complaining about the accents... ARE FROM MINNESOTA?

    Sensitive much?

  • This movie would be so much better if it wern't for the FALSE Minnesota accents. No one in Minnesota talks like that (I live there belive me I know)

  • @bxfguif have you ever been to Hibbing? People DO talk like that. I was at the Burger King in HIbbing and the cashier's accent was so bad it sounded as if he was struggling with his English. haha

  • this a shit we dont hace accents an we dont say got cha i havent said that for ever i live in north dakota. stupid southern ppl. im gonna make a movie call texas an make fun of their accent they say yall an that shit

  • @koltonkj26 dude, shut up, no one cares. just be happy that the cohen brothers decided to make an awsome movie based in your shitty backwater state. i mean i dont get all in a huff when people make fun of canadian accents.

and nice spelling, guy. i know its just youtube but you could atleast make an effort.

  • @FuttBucker667 Calm the fuck down, my brother said that. Why are you getting so worked up over what some kid on the internet said.

  • @koltonkj26 "calm the fuck down"? i think you're the one who needs to take a chill pill, brother. i mean why are you getting so worked up over what some kid said on the internet?

  • @FuttBucker667 dude, shut up,no one cares.

  • @FuttBucker667 FYI Minnesota and North Dakota have the highest number of millionares than any others state, so backwater it is not. Also Minnesota and North dakota are the 6th and 20th best educated states respectively. And they accent isnt a Canadian or Minnesotan accent, its a post-scandanavian accent, much like how New Yorkers come across as having an Italian accent from their ancestors. Also, Minnesota and ND were ranked 2 and 10 best states to live in, rescpectively. So much for "backwater"

  • @armada113 yeah, i really dont care. and "FYI": i never said the accent was canadian, i said i dont get offended when some one makes fun of how the stereotypical canadian (me being canadian) speaks.

  • @FuttBucker667 Im not pissed about the accent comment, i was a little pissed about the "shitty backwater state" comment. Hence all of my comments declaring it not. I can laugh at myself, we DO talk like that, especially me for some reason and i never realized it til about two months ago when i moved away from minnesota

  • So good movie? Would you recomend it?

(and PS; is this a comedy or a serious movie? Or both?)

  • @FilmMasterKubrick

    It's a comedy and a thriller.

  • @FilmMasterKubrick: It's a brilliant movie and, yes, I would recommend it. It has the perfect mix of comedy, drama and violence, so it's both a comedy and a thriller. You should really check it, it's one of the best movies from the 90's.

  • The Coens are exellent at this sort of thriller. Experty executed with a unique sense of dialogue, it's fun just to watch William H. Macy's plan go horribly wrong.

  • "He wasn't circumsized"

    "Oh ja?"

    "Ja!"

"Is that why he was funny looking?"

"No he was just somehow funny looking"

    "Oh ja?"

    "Ja!"

    XD

  • so funny, but its "yah"

  • coen brothers made great movies like barton fink and no country for old men but their best will always be Fargo.

  • "so is there anything else you can tell me about him?" "he wasn't circumsized" "oh yeah?" lmfao

  • Was this movie made in Winnipeg? All the characters sound like they are from Winnipeg.

  • Brainerd, Minnesota.

Well, Minnesota is under Manitoba where Winnipeg is located so haha.

  • no you dumb fuck

  • The Coens are experts of a simple plan gone wrong.

  • Xcellent trailer

  • Good movie and good trailer.
