LOL. That is exactly what corporate executives do to us, but I wished the old guy hadn't been holding a gas nozzle. To be totally accurate about how corporate executives treat us, he should have continued to pee on the people, then turn around and taken a dump on the crowd, and even use one of them as toilet paper before loudly zipping up.
@drone81 we see how well Obamanomics is doing. Obama means One Big Ass Mistake America.
Tax cuts do work. In order to get an income tax cut you have to pay income tax. Someone on welfare who does not pay income taxes can't get an income tax cut.
Three types of people liberals hate the most. Someone with a job. Someone who is successful. Someone who is happy.
They shouldn't have put the guy smiling saying the "I approved of this message" part. It seemed like he approved of the act they were trying to portray his opponent doing.
You've got McCain trying to link Obama to domestic terrorists, and now we've got senate races trying to link people to R. Kelly. I guess that's American politics for you.
Pat Roberts, a member of the Senate "Intelligence" Committee, has been up to his forked tongue in Bush Admin lies about the Iraq War from the outset. He badly needs to get his reactionary, sanctimonious, lying, corporate-bootlicking ass booted outta office this fall.
perhaps you should research the issues on your own and not expect to get away with being spoon-fed sound bytes and talking points through your magical picture-box.
people like you who unironically expect to be objectively educated on nuanced policy issues through 30 second tv ads are a large part of what's wrong with american democracy.
czech out how you immediately started raging on me in defense of a political candidate who deliberately took out an advertisement that says absolutely nothing. truely thou'rt the political wit at this algonquin round table, sir.
Ronnie Raygun called it trickle down economics and the GOP base loves them some of that. They open wide and gulp it down. The rest of us call it by it's proper name, a golden shower.

this ad is disgusting. To have such a double meaning, that it appears the giant (big business) is relieving himself on people is disgusting. The FCC should fine the campaign for such indecent crap.
its a great ad -- it gets its point across quite well that republicans have hosed kanasas and the rest of the country. why do partisan bullies like yourself try to play victim when things aren't going your way. why would a republican want to call in the fcc? for the same reason they hate socialism while they collect their social security check and medicare.
Republicans weren't the only ones to "hose Kanasas and the rest of the country" - if you look up some of the stuff surrounding fannie mae and freddie mac, you see the Democrats saying it was "all fine" 4 years ago while they accepted paychecks from those companies. Now, we're fucked. It wasn't just democrats though - both parties are at fault for the current crisis, so spreading partisan bullshit isn't going to help anyone very much.
do you understand how fnma/fhlmc work? they are supposed to provide homes for low income people with a decent amount of risk understood. do you understand that banks like wamu and wachovia aren't supposed to do the same thing because they aren't supposed to be govt sponsored? have you seen the rabid inflation of housing prices and mortage terms from the bubble? your fnma/fhlmc point is kind of moot. big guns saw a corrupt republican administration and a way to make a fast buck and ran with it.
Yes of course I understand that fan and fred were government sponsored firms. And yet, being a corporation or company of some sort, it should warn its shareholders and customers when things are going badly(4 years ago, there were plenty of signs), and not pretend that everything is fine until the companies fail. I think that politicians on either side of the political line should have seen this coming (the crisis) and done something about it - indeed, they probably did see it, but failed to act.

I like the people at the end who approve the message even though they had to endure being covered in, um, urine? gas? or yellow water?
