Have you ever punched a visor? You haven't. They are supposed to withstand pucks. It's not weak material. I doubt you got beyond full cages. I've seen a guy break his hand on a visor, and I've heard of similar things.
I know a guy who punched the plexiglass with his glove on, and he had to wear an arm cast, because the bones connect to the arm. The force is being exerted through the whole arm when you punch something. If that force is high enough your arm can break too.
But you go ahead and full out punch a quality visor straight on and tell me how you feel. I mean they are only built to withstand high velocity pucks, they can't be that hard right?

They both "non-fighters" with similar size. So how is that not a fair fight? If you watch hockey you'd know that most players are not stupid enough to go after the 'enforcers' on the other team. That's like asking why Morrow dropped the gloves on Letang (who just came back from a hand injury) instead of picking a fight with Engelland or Asham. Its good to see Crosby dropping the gloves once in a while to step up for his teammate...as long as he doesn't get hurt in the process.

He's not paid to fight and the coaches sure as hell don't want him getting in a scrap and hurt himself. But in this case he's stepping up for his teammates, and shows that he's not afraid to drop the gloves when pushed too far. That demands some respect whether he wins or loses the fight.

He should have went after Jamie Benn, Brendon Morrow, Steve Ott or someone along those lines who actually did something to his teammates. It's just ridiculous to see someone who has worked so hard to get to where he is, and someone who is obviously a champion get slammed by half-wits who think he is inferior. He fought because it was in a heated moment, and he's the captain. Captain's lead, and maybe yeah, it maybe wasn't the best decision, but at least he stuck up for himself and his team.

Hell I put money on Brad Richards and Jamie Benn or James Neal coming out on top against crosby easy. He has very poor sportsmanship and is terribly over hyped. Look at Steven Stamkos he is WAY better than cindy and he doesnt dive and cry all the goddamn time someone yells at him.

some of you haters criticize Crosby for either not fighting, or the way he fights--quite frankly, if Im Mario Lemieux and Dan Bylsma, I dont want him fighting...but if he feels like he has to drop the gloves, he has proven that he will- no, he's not a great fighter, but so what? He's got respect in the league and Im sure it went up a notch yesterday, he gives 100%, and 100 points a year, with one Cup already and maybe more in the future. Sounds like a pretty complete player to me.
