  • It would take Lebron his whole career to learn footworks like that.

  • thats one thing that lebron has that kobe doesn't have... travelling skills :))

  • it wasnt a travel.... watch it in slow mo...

  • moving both feet after a jumpstop: TRAVEL

  • @Notdicktastings ummmm... jumpstop? or just picked up his dribble

  • he made ginobili take his own medicine, behind-the-back dribble

  • LEBRON TRAVELED

  • KOBE BRYANT 101

  • that was a travel i dont troll but that was not lebron this time.

  • that shit cannot be taught

  • whoever calls this a travel is retarted. Maybe you guys need to see this in slow mo x-mo or someting. IT IS A STEP BACK, and then from there that is your BASE(Two feet planted). Then you have the option of which is your pivot. Man you dudes need to learn more ball and play it also

  • I dont think his pivot foot changed he took two steps towad the basket

  • i did that pump-fake playing this one guy at lunch, haha he tried calling a travel lmao,

  • that was more of a floater than a jumper

  • Kobe doing work

  • No travel at all Duh!!? wth watch the feet closely he didnt travel

  • @Basketball8116 its a travel

when he sets up for the pump fake he drags his right foot causing his pivot foot to be his left. then he switches to the right, so it is technically a travel.

Don't get me wrong i love kobe, but this was a travel

  • lmfao, he fucking traveled. there is not footwork in tht. I agree with walkingfredge81, its nba, who cares

  • lebron james cannot do this and will never be able to do this!

  • @lynnballa15 travelling ? i'm sure he can do that :D

hes the king in that !

  • @Kisai1212 And im pretty sure ur a LeBum dickrider because thats what he does almost every move asswipe!

  • @NightXFlash

    1 this was a travel

2 I dont like james but i gotta admit that he's good (even with the travelling thing)

  • it doesnt matter it is NBA. it was still SWEET!

  • There is no travel...he did a step back...he did the pump fake and till then there was no pivot foot cauze noone moving...after that he moves the left foot amd makes the right foot the pivot... so simple

  • wtf are yall talkin about his right foot was always his pivot...

  • definitely travel.

  • @sukbuquo7178 no you can't

  • oh yea he traveled.

  • omg fuck he travel

  • travel

  • after i watch this..it is a travel because he crossed him pulled back to his left foot(1st pivot foot) and pump faked and ended up switchin to his right foot(2nd pivot)

  • Let's think of it this way, if the NBA referees let some travels go, whatever, but this is the NBA youtube channel actively putting this particular play on the internet. Does it make any sense at all that people associated directly with the NBA would put up a video of a great move that was a travel, or a double-dribble, or whatever you fools see here? This is Kobe Bryant, showing his impossibly high basketball IQ, that's all.

  • amazing

  • Definitely travel, except that this is the NBA. Entertainment > Rules.

  • this is the technical that everyone knows, but in the NBA its not haha

  • twooooo many steps

  • travel like shit but who gives lol

  • Travel

  • he failed but noone cares :D

  • @PANADASawsome179 i dont mean to be a prick, and i dont know what world of warcraft is, but he did change his pivot foot, watch closely.

  • I'm a kobe fan, but wasnt that a travel?

  • i ball 101

  • steps

  • Im a big kobe fan, that was definitely a travel lol. Doesnt make it any less sexy, and still better then a crab dribble.

  • since most would plant the first, thats y in this case Kobe is showing his amazing footwork. thats what sepperate him from the rest. you guys dont get it even people in the nba dream for this kind of footwork stop hating on him, if u dont think its considered hating then u simply dont understand the laws and physics to basketball. if you see a travel then your one of the many who simply wearnt blessed with the ability to read and understand whats happening on the court. dont ever be reffs please

  • The Chosen One is way better!

  • why does it matter? If the ref doesnt call it, it doesnt matter if he did or did not.

  • listen why would the NBA post this if it was a travel, the nba itself posted this to show off Kobe's incridible foot work, stop calling it a travel. we arent reffs and for this reason is why reffs have to under go (((years))) of training to become a reff. so when it comes to plays like this they can pin-point what happend and make the rite call. nothing was called on the play simply beacause he didnt travel nor was a foul occured. thanks.

  • No travel.Used left to pivot and left step after the pump fake..

  • yes it was travelled.. he used the other foot.. to faked.. and he used the other foot to shoot

  • either way lebron travelled

  • i am a big kobe and lebron fan, but to be fair kobe is a million times smarter than lebron, think about it after kobe does the behind the back dribble he pump fakes and goes though for a back, seriously you have less than a second to time all this, and if it was lebron he would just try and go for the dunk/layup straight away. i know these 2 players very well, i watch alot of their games

  • kobe is from another league (obiusly more than NBA)

  • got away with the travel still a sick move

  • @danidani66 i agree...

  • @danidani66 a hop stop is not a travel.

  • oh wow.. get schooled ginobili..anyone in the league would have fallen for this series of moves..

  • manu still has nightmares over this

  • Footwork at its best

  • @TheeAP28 im sure those were accidental clicks--sweet clip. even if someone doesnt appreciate basketball, who doesnt love highlights--impossible

  • that behind the back move he did at 0:04 is manu ginobli's favorite move. basically, manu just got beat by his own move.

  • Kobe and Lebron fTW!!!

  • his left foot was his pivot foot when he pump faked, then he changed it on the up and under move.

stop trying to be technical. it was a travel, but this is the nba...who cares?

  • @walkingfridge81 Hey dumbass that was the foot he stepped back with that doesnt make it his pivot foot fukin idiot

  • @JCB24JCB hay fukin shit bitch dick i fukin bitched a dumbass fukin travel idiot.

that's what you sound like. stay in school.

  • @walkingfridge81

A hop stop is not a travel. Get your eyes checked.

  • @kobeforthewin8 your boy traveled. i really don't care about it, but you should probably stop taking it personally.

  • @kobeforthewin8

    this isn't a hop step noob, it's a 1, 2.

  • @caod27

Well, noob. If you have anything left in that thick headed skull of yours. Maybe you could distinguish the motion that Mr. Bryant hop stepped back and then elected to pivot on his right foot. Have you considered the notion that his flurry of fancy moves simply dazzled you and you lost track of his footwork? It's okay, I'm not mad at the ignorant. It happens.

  • @walkingfridge81 i was not a travel

  • @walkingfridge81 his left foot wasnt his pivot foot it was his rite. Kobe has the best foot work this world has ever seen.

  • @4nikesb his pivot foot is his left foot - at 0:05 you can see the right foot in the air and the ball has been caught

  • @slapmyfunkybass actually his rite foot is planted, i believe his on his tip toes its called a great pump fake. just in case u didnt know usually when your in the nba and you try to pump fake with only the ball and your hands it doesnt work lol its called selling the fake.

  • @slapmyfunkybass this is were i get everyone who says its a travel in the game of basketball, a pivot can only be planted after both feet has hit the ground and then another is raised. unless kobe backsteped with his left and only his left can his left be the pivot. what your telling me is that his rite foot never hit the ground? lol

  • this is y its not a travel. in the game of basketball in order for a pivot foot to even be set both feet have to be planted at some point then the other is raised. the only way his left could have been his pivot is if he 2 stepped with his left then only his left. you guys are dumb, just becuase his left was planted first doesnt mean that it HAS to be the pivot foot. he could plant either the first foot that was (planted) or the second. Most will plant the 1st thats y it looks akward to most.

  • @walkingfridge81 it looks like his left would be the pivot foot simply do to his positioning but thats how talented he is. notice how he plants his rite foot on the pump fake and keeps only his rite foot on the groud till the actuall shot is put up.

  • @walkingfridge81 thats what leaves even the nba's best in utter shock, the ability that kobe contains is one that we have yet to grasp. Dont worry his foot work has had me lost acouple times myself.

  • @walkingfridge81 his pivot foot was his right foot he didnt leave his right foot.

  • @chung0730 at 0:05 you can clearly see that on the step back move, he establishes his left foot as his pivot foot. after his pump fake, he switches his pivot foot on the up and under. i don't know how much clearer i can make this. if you still don't see it, i don't know what else to tell you.

  • @walkingfridge81 you're right, i'm a lakers fan and when i first saw it i thought it was a great shot, but yes, watching again, it was travelling

  • @walkingfridge81 that wasnt a travel bro...

  • @walkingfridge81 look right this was a fully legal play

  • @walkingfridge81 but it is not a travel my friend, i play fiba basketball and releasing your pivots foot to pass or for shooting is correct

  • @walkingfridge81 actually the dribble didnt die untill both hands are on the ball at which point he can choose which foot is his pivot foot

  • @walkingfridge81 actually his right foot is his pivot foot>>he was going for a step back fadeaway...ginoblli flew in the air>>>kobe moved his left foot as he pivoted his right foot (more on the ball of his foot) and banked it off the glass>>>thats the fundamnetals of the game plus smooth footwork

  • @walkingfridge81 it was a travel just because Kobe didn't perform it well enough! If his feet had touched the ground simultaneously after the step-back he is allowed to change his pivot.

  • @walkingfridge81 But you're allowed to take a step afterwards, you just can't bring your previous pivot foot to the floor, which he didn't.

  • @walkingfridge81 nevermind, he did travel. I watched it again and saw that I was wrong...

  • @walkingfridge81 Dont mean to bother, but wich one is the pivot foot, the first one that touches the floor?

  • @walkingfridge81

it's not because he JUMPED back!

  • @walkingfridge81 he landed on both feet after the pump fake, not establishing a pivot foot, thus not a travel

  • @walkingfridge81 Wrong kiddo.

  • @McConB i'm right. you're wrong. SO SUCK IT.

  • @walkingfridge81 oh yea. That would be consider un-fuckin-fair isnt it. If he didn't travel then he would've pass the ball already.

  • @walkingfridge81 nop it wasnt a travel. The step back dont count as a pivot foot just cauz he put one less than 1 second before another. He use the right foot as pivot after the stepback for the move. No travel.Only unusual move, so its easy to missunderstood.

  • @walkingfridge81 it wasnt a travel he steped back form a dribble and pumpfaked he didnt pivot at all and the jumped forward simple round the back step back fake jump forward

  • @thez1111 please watch the video. look at which foot is his pivot before the pump fake, and then look at which one he uses to step to the basket. its the same one. therefore: travel because he switched his pivot foot.

  • @walkingfridge81 In the NBA you can choose a pivot foot after you plant your feet, no matter if you landed your left or right first - look it up in the rulebook. In euroball it's different, there your pivot foot is the one you land on the ground first, you can only choose if you land them both in the same time. Also in the NBA, you can lift your pivot foot of the ground before the ball hits the floor, in euro and international ball you can't do that.

  • @walkingfridge81 yur a dumbass he stopped with 2 feet planted , that means which ever foot can be the pivot foot .

  • @PwnXP you're*

  • @PwnXP

    true, but check you're spelling...

  • Travel or not, atleast Kobe don't CRAP DRIBBLE.

  • This man may not be the best, but he has some of the most awesome highlights

  • I don't think it's travel. Kobe made a crossover move (0:04), then he created space by stepping back, and the ball was still in a dribbling stance (0:05), then he made a pump fake (start 0:06) then the right foot stands as pivot (0:06 end) and he finishes.

Sorry guys, Kobe might look like he travels but in reality, he's just THAT good lol.

  • Dude, you can clearly see that he travels. His left foot was supposed to be established as his pivot foot yet he lifts it in the midst of the move. He moves both feet during the execution of the move, so which ever you consider to have been his pivot foot, he moved it. That's a travel.

  • @PoletBally Who said he planted his left foot? it was his right :)

  • he actually traveled the first time when he gained possession of the ball. he didnt travel on the nice move though.

  • kobe does what no one can one word MAGICIAN

  • kobe knows every which way to score in the NBA nobody can do what he can. one word MAGICIAN

  • its really sooo funny how many idiots dont know what traveling is...

    this isnt it

  • clearly there is no travel there first you cant really tell which is his pivot foot but he uses his right foot i believe he can lift it for the shot....how else do you get a jump shot off ? lol

  • Oh man Lebron James disliked this video 35 times

  • Outlandish travel let's be honest here.

  • @mybalzurchin no, it is not..., did not change the pivot foot

  • his foot was on a ground. This was a different variation of the crow hop. Even if his pivot changed , it wasn't a travel.

  • DUD KOBE FANS ADMIT THIS SHIT IS A FUCKIN TRAVEL.......... HE DIDNT EVEN LAND ON BOTH FEET AFTER HE STEPED BACK....... AND ON 0:06 HE DID AN ILLEGAL SHUFFLE HE MOVED BOTH FOOT EVEN HIS PIVOT FOOT...... IF THIS WAS LEBRON JAMES U WUD ALL BE CALLIN IT A TRAVEL

  • @HippoOwns his pivot foot did not slide nor change, it pivoted which is why it is not a travel

  • @jcupsmells1 dud he landed on his left foot at 0:05 -___- that counts as his pivot foot and then he shuffled both foot at 0:06...... that cud already be a travel and him lifting his left foot is also a travel...

  • @HippoOwns but would the refs be calling it a travel?

  • thats not a travel cause when he steps back both his feet hit at the same time so he picks up his left and his right only slides a little... his right foot might have hit the ground a little later off the stepback but that will never get called

  • this is travel , he changed his pivot !

  • @cacat10000 That will never be called a travel b/c he didn't take his right leg up and put it down at 0:06. His right foot was the pivot foot there and, if you're talking about the minor movement it had after he faked Ginobili, that's not obvious/big enough to be a travel.

  • @cacat10000

    DUMBASS

  • FOOTWORK!!!

  • travelling! like LBJ game winner vs. wizards

  • YOUR A DUMBASS

  • @Kingjulez1201 nope he landed on his backstep left foot first.. makes his right foot the pivot. instead he moved his left

  • that was a walk... his pivot foot was the right cause he landed left first. u moved his left

  • and ginobli is supposed to be the best on the best team right now.... how can u compare kobe to anyone wen he destroys great players like that

  • how is that a walk, he steps back by hopping, leaving both pivots available, and after the shot fake he follows through with his left foot making his right foot the pivot one and following through towards the basket..

  • WALK! all i have to say

  • thumbs me up cause your a guy

  • Travel, his left foto was his initial pivot foot and he changed it, therefore a travel.

  • @Dpfriedman05 No. You can step with the other foot and pick up your pivot foot as long as you don't put your initial pivot foot down before you shoot or pass. No travel.

  • @Dpfriedman05 ur a fuckin retard

  • @Dpfriedman05 what 3 idiots thumbed you up. his right foot is the pivot. you just assume his left was the pivot. he could've used either one. simple fact is he did a stepback and did not move either one so he was free to use either.

  • manu is dancing, kobe even mixed in a little bit of manu's style with the behind the back haha

  • Manu looked like a FOOL!

  • every video I go on there is someone talking about travel lol

  • Travel... Pivot foot was the left foot and when he moved it for the finishing move, he took 3 steps. And Come on guys, its the NBA, WHO CALLS TRAVELLING?

  • Thats Manu ginobili signature =D but I guess he wont mind it if Kobe makes it :P

  • That's a travel! just take the move step by step - He puts his right foot down to get back, and therefore the left foot is his pivot foot when does the pumpfake. But then he uses the right foot as a pivot foot instead = traveling! Obvious, but still... it's the NBA, and some people have a different rulebook than other players. But as you other guys says... No one is "better" than Mr.Crabdribble ;)

  • Are you blind people!?No travel.Lebrick is the guy that travels

  • @Tochskotchsmochkoch comon dude, your a disgrace to kobe fans, you dont have to be that insecure that you gota point out lebron on every single kobe video. just admire the this video and kobe and dont hate.

  • travel. he does a step back and lands with his left foot which automatically becomes his pivot foot then lifts it so travel.

  • travel. after he steps back his left foot is his pivot foot. but he uses that to step through for the shot. welcome to the nba

  • @loveforthegame31 bud u are so cool

  • Owned.

  • pretty good but travel good move tho

  • one word..................BEAST

  • thats cheating.

  • And they say Lebron travels this is sad pivot foot switching bastard he does this so much even his game winner on the Bucks...

  • For all these retards who are saying it ISN'T a travel... how can you NOT see it!?!? He switched his pivot foot. YOU CANT DO THAT! It's clearly a travel point blank, hands down.

  • @crazycriz5000 he didn't switch his pivot foot, he took a step before jumping. last i checked, that's not illegal

  • @H16HV0LTA63

HAHAHH You can't take a step before jumping are you dumb?

  • @adi1096 can't take a step before jumping? you've clearly never watched or played basketball. you're allowed 2.5 steps between when you pick up the ball and when you jump

  • No that's because your a fucking retard he never switched his pivot foot can you can't establish one until you stop dribbling. And when he stopped the pivot was his right you stupid fuck. And he never picked up his right foot only pivoted it. You gotta be like 10 yrs old or from Romania or some shit. And this isn't even traveling there......What a dumbass

  • im actually surprised ginobli didnt try to flop or something on that.

  • whats funny is that ginobli really likes to use that move on the right side of the court and i guess he forgot to learn how to guard it....... kobe justs eats his opponents right up!

  • Its a travel because he moves his right foot after hes collected the ball, then pivots on it. Since he moves his right foot, the left foot is the pivot foot, but then he steps forward with the left, pivoting on the right. Its very close, but if you keep pausing it step by step you can see that he shuffles the right before stepping through.

  • @shandler420 can u change a thing even if you spotted the foul?

  • @ivanlimjunwei No obviously I can't change anything commenting on a youtube video, but I can point out what actually happened. The only ones who could've changed it would be the refs calling the play right in the first place. I don't really see your point...people don't comment on videos to change happened on the video because thats obviously impossible....I mean no shit all these comments are useless but you can still try to accurately assess what happened

  • its all about not establishing your pivot foot before you pump, so key

  • It's not a travel, Kobe Bryant simply mastered at his foot work.

  • He moves two times the same foot then move the other leg.

    SO... it's a travel

  • It would be a travel only if he stopped after the motion (like pump faking again for example) or dribbled before he went back out with his right foot since he moved his non pivotal foot first. His left foot was his pivot foot after the hop back, he had no choice but to shoot after the jab step. It's not a travel, go look it up.

  • Whenever you take a jump step, you can take one more step with either foot BUT you can't move the other foot.

Kobe merely took a jump step, then chose to take a (last) left step, jumped with both legs and released the ball in the air.

  • Beautiful move. No call is the right call, but I think it was a travel.

  • who cares if he travels? he still makes the play nice and no way are the refs gonna call that when its probably a highlight

  • Kobe's basketball IQ is off the charts

  • @fhsambuichi

trust me this has nothing to do with bbl IQ this is pure talent and skill

  • THIS IS WHY YOU DONT ISOLATE KOBE COZ HES GONNA SHIT ON U

  • Kobe doesn't travel but LeBron does. lol. :D

  • holding the ball with both hands before landing on his left foot then right, then he moves his left foot first. not gonna argue with u about whether it's travelling or not.

the NBA officials are known for being extremely unlikely to call traveling, especially on stars.

  • the best crossover ever ever ver er r xD

  • retrads how cud dat be a travel if its da higlight of da night and think bout how much times ppl or da officals watched it

  • traveling
