If you simply disagree with the idea that some dinosaurs branched into the avian family, then I honestly have no quarrels with it. It's senseless to have a gainsaying match and counterproductive to both ends. However, I do recommend a visit to a website called "Talk Origins" (Google can point you the way). They have an extensive collection of articles/discussion database that can clear up any misunderstanding of the argument for Evolutionary Theory.

@strontklont I have to agree with you. Animals evolve individualy over time depending on the environment that they live in. To say that every species of raptor evolved into emus is rediculous. Archaeopteryx is speculated to have lived in forested areas. The fact that it was easier to snag bugs out of trees than it was to compete with a some species of sauropod for vegitation is a reasonable sercomstance. The sauropods eating most of the vegitation had no reason to follow this evolutionairy path.

By that time, sauropods wouldn't have even had enough time to start the evolutionairy process. In that time frame you either had evolved enough to survive, or your ecosystem could no longer support your species and you went extinct. Most dinosaurs were to slow to have been able to evolve.

I think Jurassic Park will always be a favorite movie of mine. I saw it in theatre when I was a kid and it blew my mind, and I still enjoy it today on dvd. The two sequels were also good, the first being better then the second in my opinion.
