  • Ll at moving target is very difficult especially when u are running full pace.

  • First of all afl field is twice as long as nfl field. It's significant area is due to the large amounts the players run and the space needed when kicking. Wouldn't say it's tougher then rugby but definitely requires more skill then both rugby and nfl. Just mastering kicking takes years of development. U could pick up rugby ball and pass it no problem. I can tell you kicking a ba

  • 2:20 GAY

  • "AFL Hard Hits ft. West Coast every clip".

  • these hits are nuts though holy shit

  • ok well 1 this song is gay as shit so you loose there. 2 if those players were half as athletic as NFL or NHL or AFL players were they wouldnt be playing in Australia now would they?

  • @sp33dkillz1

These players are more athletic than NFL and NHL players. They have to be to keep up with the pace of the game. Some midfielders run up to 25km in one game. I'm pretty sure that's more than NFL or NHL.

  • bit of variety would have been nice

  • atleast we can all agree that NFL, AFL, Rugby League, Rugby Union are not as pussy as soccer

  • no way, rugby rules

  • No wonder they dont need padding they look like they each weigh 150 tops....a bunch of skinny dudes

  • Go the might West Coast premiers2012

  • lol these AFL players would die even with padding if they got tackled by these big black dudes in NFL

  • It's emabarrasing as an Aussie to read the comments from bogans and wannabes saying that AFL is tougher than NFL because in the US they use padding.

The games are completely different and in NFL you have players who specifically defensive only.

This means they are required to target an offensive player who often has his back turned to look at the quarterback.

If you didnt have pads youd have multiple deaths and life threatening injuries every year.

NFL is a real mans game like AFL.

    Respect both.

  • *sigh* - In the beginning was football, hit ball with foot. Then someone picked up the ball, and thus rugby was born, and from rugby, Canadian (first) and American football. The Auzzies started with rugby and a cricket pitch and came up with aussie football.

Now, I know headhunting in any of the code is a foul (and probably 50 meters in AFL). AFL and rugby no pads, but no tackling above shoulders and below waist. I think AFL has a 'no arms' penalty. Cricket makes golf look like football...

  • @MadPatter66 I'm not really sure where you got that above the waist rule, but in Aussie Rules, a tackle must be made between the shoulders and knees. I have no idea about the arms thing. It's probably against the rules but who knows.

  • I'm from Melbourne and I play Ice Hockey. I love both sports but comparing the two is like comparing apples and oranges. Hockey players wear padding because there is a lot more to worry about. AFL players don't need to worry about blades or sticks (just look up youtube videos of NHL players getting their throats cut) The walls aren't actively used in the game as they are in hockey, The players aren't travelling anywhere near as fast, and lastly they land on grass, not ice...

  • go the rooooo!!!!!!

  • Lol at the person who uploaded this. Having a go at Americans because "'real men' don't wear pads".

Here is something for you, real men don't run around oval fields in a sport that rewards you with "behinds" when you miss the aim of the game. Real Men don't need to run up or use other players bodies to catch a ball either.

  • @NRLTGG haha good as argument, i like how for some reason being on an oval shaped field makes you less of a man... and why would you not run up or use other players bodies to catch the ball, you get higher (and i've seen players do both those things many times in NFL

    hahaha keep trying bud

  • @gusbus1223 Yes, it is so tough to run up the back of someone. It is so manly to run around a oval field where you get reward for missing. American Football has more guts involved then Australian Football, which by the way, if you know your history, was created to keep crickets fit in a sport where injury would be less likely.

The real man sports are the other one.

  • @NRLTGG It's really tough to be able to signal a fair catch so the big guys wont tackle you. It's really tough to wear pads from head to toe. I don't see how playing on an oval field makes the game less tough. AFL requires guts because contact can come from any direction. It has a higher level of physical fitness and athleticism. A full game of AFL will last atleast 80 plus time on. There are only three interchange players and one sub. This means that every player must be extremely fit.

  • @NRLTGG i still don't get why you keep bringing up that AFL is played on an oval field, what is the significance of that. And yes the first games of AFL was to keep cricketers fit during the winter months, not sure were you got the fact about the less likelihood of injury but i'm sure you are correct. However the game that is played now is far different and has changed lots, so you cannot compare. All sports change over time.

  • @gusbus1223 Also the first american football game was far from the one you play today such as no forward pass or padding. We're talking about the sports now, not the distant cousin of 150+ years ago. But im not here to argue about that. Im just disagreeing with the points in your argument i mean what does the shape of the field matter in an discussion about how manly or piss weak a sport is. And im not saying anything bad about NFL, i like it its good to watch and play and does require guts.

  • 0:54 haha that was actually so unsportsmanly

  • Comment removed

  • fuck i hate west coast.

  • how the fuck is kicking goals and marking a hard hit..dumbfuck

  • Well someone has a hard-on for the eagles

  • need more sick hits

  • Watched one game of the AFL. I was confused as hell and I had no idea how the scoring worked.

    But damn it was exciting.

  • If rugby and hockey were to have a kid, it would look like this.

  • i'd love to see the AFL's best play their rules against an All-Pro NFL team. Lots of talk about "real men." Patrick Willis would like to show you what the next stage of evolution looks like.

  • @kyledeen Playing what? You retard.

  • @kyledeen Dont be silly. I'm not getting into the "real men debate", but Pro AFL players would beat NFL players at AFL. Thats just a silly statement. I agree that due to the high velocity of impaacts NFL players really do need to wear protection though.

  • Soo badass, now that's a sport! Would love to see a live match. Anybody know the name of the song playing?

  • @Jysmeister The song is Float On by Modest Mouse, btw.

  • West Coast arn't the only friggan team in the comp.

  • i would love to play this. looks like an absolute blast!

  • good old days

  • Gay shit from a joke of a team.

  • @danshinitro FEW PREMS COMING IN THE NEAR FUTURE GOOSE

  • You must love the shit out of west coast.

  • wonder if your a gay west coast supporter

  • toughness:

    afl-rugby union-rugby league-nfl

  • fuck me thats a tough sport

  • pfft league players hit way harder then these pansy's

  • @MrTragic95 because there fatter of course there gonna hit harder btw they did an AFL thing where Pro AFLers and pro NRLers did there sport and they versed them at the end of the week and the AFL ers won in the NRL and AFL AFL score 227 - 3 NRL 28-6

  • @Freefilmproduction

Care to link an article? sounds like bullshit to me.

  • @MrTragic95 no I cant you just have to go by my word

  • @MrTragic95 Your game is low brow and boring.

Which is why it atracts trolls like you.

I think deep down you know AFL is far superior, which is what motivates your stupid anti-AFL trolling antics.Jealousy and fear of the inevitable.Complete AFL domination of the country.

Just embrace the one true Australian football code and you'll be just fine.

    =)

  • @ABTTTT123

The australian game made in a british colony? No thanks...

  • Only thing I don't agree with in the use comments is the NHL part. If football can be played in the Australian AFL with these hit, football should need it. Try taking a puck to the head or body, different than a football or person hit. And the skates on top of it. Just an IMO...

  • @Steyr455

football uses only man to man contact. your argument is with other objects. such as an hockey puck and blades on your skates. of course that is dangerous. However, you wear pads to accommodate for this. as we don't.

plus, i think ice hockey is cool. ill love to play it. =)

  • @AusUtuber =D You'd love it, it's amazing. I just had to mention NHL because it was in the comments from the uploader. Only reason that was mentioned. NHL and Australian football are the sports!!

  • @Steyr455 haha funnier enough.. today i went to my mates place... and he was playing maiden NHL on playstation 3?

if thats what its called haha.. he would love to play the game too lol.. (i think this was always influenced us since the mighty ducks xD)

  • uh oh - umpire contact at 1:58. That's $900 and 1 match

  • Johnny Ironmomger!!!!!

  • k sooooo this is one of the most amazing sports but whos the dumb ass who put hellen keller in charge of how far the board should be away from the line....

  • nice song men!!!

  • West Coast Eagles: Born and bred tough.

  • A bunch of settlers where on board a ship... they were bringing soccer, handball and rugby to Australia. The ship sank and 3 dudes survived floating on a soccer, handball and rugby balls... They didn't know the rules of any and made up AFL.

  • I like how Sampi's mark is considered a hard hit... this video was clearly not made by a west coast supporter...

  • 3:14 how did that dude live?

  • im so gay over footballers!!! id love to suck a footballers you know what! i bet they get frisky after the game you know what im sayin boys!! ;)

  • Hard Hits when was there a Hard Hits in this video have u lot ever seen rugby union now there is Hard Hits

  • The physics of American football are way more different than that of rugby and Australian Football. I dare ANY rugby player to attempt playing a game in the NFL without pads and helmets; he would be broken into pieces. I have the utmost respect for other football codes, and I also respect their players for their atheleticism and endurance; however, it is a myth that wearing pads makes you a wimp. No, it just keeps you alive.

  • @Jasonsharonpoole Rugby players dont need pads to stay alive.

  • @Jasonsharonpoole i agree to a certain extent, but the fact is in NFL you usually know where your going to get hit from. AFL you could be running back with the flight of the ball and not know what kind of danger is coming from any direction, especially if your eyes are fixed solely on the ball.

  • @Jasonsharonpoole NFL players wear pads for precaution not cause its worst and plus you gotta be fucking crazy to play Aussie Rules AFL

  • @Jasonsharonpoole pads shouldn't come into it, the only fact is that Rugby and Aussie Rules are 2 of the greatest sports in the world and American football is just a stupid sport.

  • I am an Australian living in the US, and I would say that American football is way more violent. Even with the padding, every year about one high-school football player is paralyzed. As for hockey, that puck flies like 100 miles an hour. There has been at least 2 instances that I know of where audience members have been struck by stray pucks, one was killed and one was permanently brain damaged. NFL and NHL are easily the most violent and dangerous sports in the world.

  • @coughsyrup78 there's a video on here i think , of when a goal keeper gets his throat slashed by a boot blade. Maybe on liveleak.

  • @Zorbingguy easy to find, search for ice hockey throat cut. he lived btw

  • i thik he is a west cost fan, maybe

  • 2:26 OWEND GO CATERS

  • 1:27 LoL WTF was that

  • asshole thugs that derserve no respect..

  • Bad ass video but why end it with a bitch fight?

  • These poofs are as soft as shit! If you want to see real men play then watch NRL. Aussie Rules is a clumsy game with no real structure. Rugby League is faster and tougher and the players need to be a whole lot fitter. Aussie Rules is very popular in Sydney though, as the gay community seem to have embraced it due to its ballet-like style. I used to wonder why Aussie Rules attracted such big crowds in Melbourne? Then I was posted there for 6 months and I found out why? There is fuck all to do!

  • @mistertube10 fuck yeah, bogan pride!

  • @mistertube10 yeah only 2 states give a shit about NRL and Union is so much better any way

  • @mistertube10 explain to me how nrl is faster? yes it is tougher ill give you that. but are u fucking kidding saying that nrl players have to be fitter? have u had a fucking look at george rose? and your saying afl has more structure? in nrl you might as well be running at a brick wall. have fun dieing at the age of 50!

  • @mistertube10 AFL requires some actual skill & abit more than just muscle between your ears. Probably explains why you like NRL.

  • @mistertube10 League is in fact a much slower sport. And you have to be a lot less fitter to play it. Dont get angry mate, i am just being objective here, i like both sports. League players are most built (muscular wise) but do a lot less running. Playing a game of AFL requires outstanding cardiovascular fitness as you can run up to 20km a game. I doubt many players in the NRL could run that far. There is no room on an AFL team for someone like george rose because he just couldn't do the running

  • Bit skinny these Aussie rules players aren't they? some of them look like they could do with a good meal.

  • fuckin mental

  • in every hit its a fucking elbow of course its easy to ccrack somones skull with ur elbow

  • this isnt a sport its grown ass men in short shorts going head to head contact its idiotic

  • now days if they did this they would reported for weeks :( ruins the game

  • west coast - twats.

  • West Coast much!!!!

  • whoever made this clearly knows nothing abut the NFL. when the first started playing there was no padding and a bunch of people died. The game was almost made illegal until they made the players wear protection. plus rugby players do nat hit as hard

  • @football5680 why the fuck you watching an AFL video then? go bitch on your NFL videos

  • @yekane1

Looked up hard football hits. Saw what everybody was saying about the NFL so I commented. People shouldn't talk shit about a sports that is better. Comment about this sport and leave other sports out of it.

  • needs more cocaine sniffing

  • West Coast, best team in the AFL

  • u dont HAVE to be a masochist to play aussie rules...but it helps.

  • i waited 3:29 to see a hard hit and didnt see any fail

  • i was just watching some soccer poofs talking about banning someone for life for a little accidental love tap. fukkin poofters. i linked em to this clip and told em to grow some fukkin balls.

  • @fuzzjunky who needs skill when you're a fat fuck who can run into people, amirite?

  • @Moppy1988 nournot

  • WCE free kick count vs Carlton, too many to count.. unfair more ? btw i dont even go for Carlton..

  • Hey Please take a minute and take a look at my page, I got some of the Wildest beats you've ever heard! i love producing my beat and i know you'll love hearing them.

  • I don't see where the "afl" bit comes into play.

  • thats my uncle at 0:14 :) Ashley Sampi

  • lol these guys have pipe cleaners for arms, most are 20kg lighter than most of the guys who play NFL, they are bigger, stronger, faster which = bigger kenetic impact, does it still hurt with pads? Hell yeah, pads allow you to hit harder. I've played both sports in American Football I broke my collar bone. When I played AFL I met the kindest most sensitve, delicate man he's now my bitch and I keep him in a cage dressed in a tu-tu..

  • @fluidjazz cool story

  • love how pretty much all of that was just play on, games too soft now...

  • Meanwhile in every single NRL game..

  • wow,, some of these hits a fucking dangerous without a helmet !! awesome vid bro

  • Comment removed

  • This doesn't make any sense at all. How can a video involving the Pathetic Coast Eagles be in any way described as "some of the best hard hits..."?

Did you mean "some of the dirtiest hits by the softest of men"? -That seems about right anyway.

  • Silly caption mate, you're an idiot.

  • I guess "Real Men" wear hot pants.

Sorry, no self-respecting human would be caught dead in that uniform

  • Needs more West Coast .

  • i hate westcoasts old jumper at 0:50, it looks like pjays

  • LOL! at 0:56

  • fucking Andrew Demitriou and the fuckin AFL slowly turning the AFL into a pussy sport. You never see good hard hits like this anymore....

scept for good old buea waters

  • Yeah West Coast Eagles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aussie Rules is better than NFL LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 0:48 whiplash!! you ok dude? yes fock off its my ball

  • Should have put the clip of Peter Daicos kicking the goal to draw the final

  • Just a few west coast clips in there.

  • This is shit, its all westcoast you fucking loser

  • Most of these lads are well over 6', i'd like to see some of them try out as a TE or maybe a posession receiver. Surely they are more athletic to just be a punter in the NFL??

  • west coast are shit

  • @qbdils who the fuck do u support freo?

  • these arent very good hits, need to have some of the byron pickett hits

  • Why do they play in panties?

  • This is brutally awesome I wonder if I can start a league here in las vegas. at 3:17 it's like a 4 million dollar fine in the NFL I miss real football.

  • @edgo45 there is actually an aussie rules team in Vegas. Their website is vegasfooty (dot com) .... their website looks a little stagnant but I know they're currently active as they've played matches against LA Dragons and San Diego Lions this year. Mix of ex-pat aussies and seppos.

  • Number 24-hes pretty good at hitting blokes when they arent looking.

  • eagles arent the only fucking team in the comp

  • I wouldn't say the NFL is a pussy sport, a lot of the guys have brain damage later on in life. Just sayin.

  • this is so typical aussie... they arent good at anything of their own so they still a bit of rugby and a bit of NFL to make aussie football... bunch of blonde pussies... lets be honest none of these fucks would even catch up to michael vick... or get back up after a hit from someone like polamalu or ray lewis... so dont even compare these chumps with NFL... enough said...

  • @nowayout4u you know, im guessing your a fat slob that sits on the computer, and can't even RUN to toilet. These blokes wear no padding or anything, like american football. Im also guessing you play cod all fucking day you nerd, go get some sun and lose 50Kg

  • @Potsey888 oh look we got an internet gangster here... why dont u get the fuck up out of your mom's basement u cunt... it's not nice to be a fucking hypocrite... pouring out ur own insecurities on me is pathetic.... I bet you just typed this after looking at yourself in the mirror.... if u have nothing critical to say about a comment then just dont fucking talk...

  • @nowayout4u wat the fuck? AFL was around way before white people got here, the abo's are playing it was balls of kangroo skin, we didnt steal shit from rugby and NFL

  • @nowayout4u to make things straight, AFL players are far more athletic than nfl players. and rugby football, american football and yes australian rules all have to bow down to REAL football (soccer) because all these sports originated from it and clearly stole rules to make their own "different" form of "football" which is less football but still a form of it. so yeah

  • @deLasChivas tell me how many of them can run 4.3 40 yard dash flat... and make the cuts that the NFL running backs can....

  • @nowayout4u it seems like that would be irrelevant in this sport chief.

  • @nowayout4u footballers can do that easily, whats impressive is that they can do that all while controling a football with their feet. you probably haven't heard of the defensive fullback position in football(soccer) but they are defender that stays at the wings and is going up to assist the attack and coming back down to defend. that is hard and their doing that for 90 minutes with 1, 15 min break and about 50 or 60 % of the time sprinting. so being a real footballer is more than being athletic

  • @deLasChivas I was not referring to soccer when i said about athleticism... i was referring to Australian football... I know that some of the soccer players are really fast like walcott and torres and van persie... and ofc ronaldo...

  • @nowayout4u not some all of them, but oh ok well i don't know much about AFL but I still think their more athletic than NFL players in their own way. cuz lets face it NFL is american what i mean by that is these players are big and stuff but can only perform for a while and they get frequent breaks inbetween plays and the game is seperated into quarters what i'm trying to say is no way can NFL players do what they do if the game was consistent no stops and idk 90 min game w/ 1 half time

  • @deLasChivas i think u might be right as far as the consistent playing is concerned... bc i dont think that lot of these players can play even 20 mins in a row... without a break

  • @deLasChivas you are absolutely right but some NFL players could probably pull this off...AFL looks bad ass!

  • @Ur2ez4me81 probably the wide recievers or the more "fitt" nfl players but even then they would need to get more used to consistent running and speed.

  • @Ur2ez4me81 of course they could, AFL was a hard game back in the day, but thanks to fuck heads thinkin rules needed to be changed, and very bias umpires and commentators, the sport is being ruined

  • @BigPapaPump9 no doubt...

  • @deLasChivas When it comes to which code is oldest we probably all need to salute those surly gents who still play Shrovetide Football. 12th century AD lol. With rules like "Committing murder or manslaughter is prohibited" our arguments over which code is the roughest start to look a bit lame too!

  • @DannyEmbling yeah the Shrovetide Football, was Association Football without the rules, it was unorganized, and complete chaos, people described it as an all out war between villages lasting days, but they used the foot, which is why it was called Football, till one man picked up the ball and ran with it cuz it was easier and the other players tackled him in anger that he had broken the rules. then came the running forms of football. but it was all was allowed EXCEPT committing murder and hands

  • west coast supporter much

  • This looks way cooler than football!

  • the padding isnt helping in hockey. the fact is that you got a weapon in your hands and there is concussion epidemic in that sport. Also consider the speed that hockey is played at.... also, they fight with bare fists

Aussie rules is sick too. I wish we could watch this in north america instead of nfl

  • The NHL guys must get some respect!

Think about it, they've got to be good at hockey, skating & be able to handle themselves!

Ok, so they wear padding, but could you imagine the state they'd be in after a game if they didn't wear any?

  • Go the mighty eagles!!

  • AHAHA!!! is the last fight in there matthew pavlich? he looks like a fucking stick figure! now he's built like a brick shit house!

  • Why does this song kind of sound like the show goes on by Lupe fiasco?

  • @Suncin11

because he based the tune on it, and took some of the lyrics in the chorus

    all legal i assume

  • clearly a bias west coast supporter
